If you are under cover it won't go into iron sites, so yeah it looks really funny as the helgast bob around behind stuff.TTP said:I only tested it on stationary targets. Didn't know it also follows them. O_O
Edit: Oh, you said the crosshair. I'm talking about the ironsights.

worst pre-release ever.
Vustadumas said:Ok, I sort of understand what they were going for with the weight and inertia stuff. Cool idea, but in execution, it really does make the game feel a bit unresponsive. I played through the demo about 10x now, and I have gotten more used to the controls, but I still don't like it. Controls are about giving the player as close to 1:1 feedback as possible. When I hit the jump button, I want him to jump, not anticipate, then jump. Hell, why didn't they just make jumping a 2 button press then? One press to anticipate, and then another to jump.

Come on man this stuff was explained in developer diaries and developer interviews.
This has gotten out of control why are we discussing the pacing and gameplay style like there's some type of choice here. The game has gone gold and you don't patch the entire gamplay style of a title. You have two simple choices buy the game and adjust or don't by the fucking game.
Honestly the mods do need to see who continues this endless bickering derailing the entire thread.
SolidSnakex said:If you don't like the way it feels then that's perfectly fine. But wanting GG to change the entire feel of the game, as some seem to want, is going completely overboard.
The "weighted" feel has been blown way out of proportion. It's not nearly strong enough to play around with like that. Though I can understand how you'd be confused by this thread.half a moon said:I haven't played yet, but I think every so often you should have very quick reflexes. When you fear for your life and have adrenaline pumping your reflexes can be very quick. There's stories of people seeing in slow motion. So perhaps the longer you fight the more precise you get until your get worn out for a while. Just throwing this out there.
Hm. Oh well.StateofMind said:The "weighted" feel has been blown way out of proportion. It's not nearly strong enough to play around with like that. Though I can understand how you'd be confused by this thread.

Made this gif just to show you guys WEIGHT. lol input lag.
See how Sevs knees buckle? and also look how it takes him a partial second steady his aim.
McLovin said:I'm just glad the game is made and no amount of nit-picking will change it. It may add a feature or two down the line via patchs but no full blown game remaking. All this complaining isn't going to do crap so you guys might as well stop. Or.. you know.. not get the game and stop coming to this thread?

Graphically the game looks OK. Quite frankly, I was expecting more from the game given all of the buzz surrounding the visuals. The game does look good and they managed to match the visual fidelity present in CoD 4 and CoD WaW.
The controls felt off. I think the majority of shooter fans will have to spend a little time adjusting to how this game handles since most of the people who have been playing CoD will be jumping into this game. The "weight" is there and even after completing the demo level three times I was still struggling with the controls.
I hope that there is more variety in the enemies. The original Killzone suffered from a lack of variety and towards the middle of the game things got repetitive.
The developers have done a good job replicating the chaotic but heavily scripted war atmosphere that was perfected in Call of Duty 4. If the multiplayer hooks everyone in it will be worth a purchase. Otherwise it will be a solid rental.

Mamesj said:I don't get why this is labeled as "realism" now. It's weighted, but not realistic at all.
Pick up something with weight that you can hold like a gun. Can you move around instantly and stop when you want to stop with it? Now imagine you're a space marine who has been pumping steroids-- you would probably be better at moving that object around and stopping with greater accuracy.
There's simply a longer pause from when you start moving the analog stick to the time the reticule moves than there would be if you had a gun in your hand and you wanted to move it. The acceleration also doesn't mimic human reflexes in the least. It feels unnatural, if anything.

Private Hoffman said:Well, when someone prefaces their remarks by saying it looks OK and matches CoD4, I can usually tell that they're trying really hard.
It's outlandish because it's honestly not true. But, since visuals are 'subjective', we can't prove you wrong.

To be fair... most of those pre-orders will be from people who pre-ordered before they actually got a chance to play the demo.Core407 said:The adding of player weight really changes up the game play and I think most people appreciate the game for it and do support it. (I'm not saying they're going to cancel, that would be stupid... I'm saying that the high pre-order numbers are more a testament to how good the game looks rather than appreciating the addition of player weight.)
