All the complaints about the rocket launchers reminds me of why the Market is my favorite level. Rocket launchers are completely useless on that level.

Maybe then maps should have weapon limitations then? That doesn`t seem right because then you would really only be limiting rockets anyway. However, the other two maps are really awesome - they just give a lot of authority to assault users.

It's a good idea to allow you to limit which weapons can be used. Rockets tend to be frustrating because people don't care who they kill with them. They'll just come around a corner and fire it off, and if they kill their own team then so be it. There's times on Blood Gracht where it's nearly impossible to make it into one of the entrances because there's constant explosions going on from people shooting rockets back and forth.

The way I approach it is when I enter a room I try to make sure no other teammates are in the room, toss a grenade in to clear it, or try to check the corners and pick off exposed enemies before I go into the room. Some rocket launcher players don't really even care if they kill themselves, which is kind of silly actually. A lot of time if you're coordinated you can basically make a concerted push into an area which works better than going in there one at a time. Clear the zone, move in, keep a constant flow of people in to maintain an area, and keep pushing, what I see often is you get one or two people going in there, get killed and the cycle repeats, it happens alot in blood gracht where the c4 is supposed to be planted, you HAVE to control the upper ramp and it can be done with grenade clearing and shooting and spawn point, and the lower part has to be done with considerable force, it's just that people are acting alone and that often results in more people dying than necessary, people will get shot in a confrontation, sometimes I find some people are too tentative to make a push, that actually results in more deaths and not fewer. >:3

Holy shit - I actually got a code from that gamedaily contest. I only signed up with one e-mail, and it was sent about an hour before the deadline.

Fuck yeah.

Any word on a demo?

Funny you should bring that up as Eurogamer did a live chat with GG earlier today

projectmayhem asks: Seeing as there are no more beta phases planned, will there be a demo for people to try?

Super Moderating Hero: And what about DLC - will that feature in your future plans, as there will be no more chances to garner feedback from the community?

Angie Smets: We can't really talk about our demo plans at this time.

Eric Boltjes: We are planning for DLC, but what exactly you are going to have to wait a little while longer to find out! But rest assured we are planning for it!

Not exactly a confirmation, but it looks like there could be something coming.

May or may not be before release.

I hate how devs are "planning DLC" way before the game has even shipped.
They've had the time to sit and plan. No shame in panning stages ahead of time.

So are all of the MP maps circular? Then I can clearly see why they took the cover system out.

Most of Gears MP maps are symmetrical, and in the traditional game types you don't have people respawning behind you.

Still sad that it's been removed, but I guess I'll get over it.

yeah, KZ2 is one of the first truly multi-level fps's that work well. There's multiple floors of action going on, and lots of passages to get there. Being in cover might force players to explore more of the map, but in the bigger games, it would just be a really long standoff situation I think, with all players guarding each passage and route behind cover.

It seems like a good idea to me. That way you're able to have DLC ready to keep the games community stabilized.
As long as they follow a few simple guidelines.

- Bundle maps/skins/models into packages. It's cheesy to pay a few bucks for individual items that combined costs the half of a new game.
- Don't sell shit that is already on the disc. It makes people feel stupid.

Exactly how I feel right now.

WHY O WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I read your post I looked at my e-mail tab and saw "Inbox (1)" and it was just something from Blood Donor Resources!!!!

Its over, I just need to sign out of my e-mail, second time that has happened today.

So, SSX.. your opinion on KZ2 has changed? I thought you werent interested since the flood of FPSes on PS3? Well, glad to see you here. :D

It's now my most anticipated game after Skate 2. :) The beta changed my opinion a lot.

Yeah, the game tends to have that affect. :D When I was in phase 2 I just wanted to shout from the rooftop how great it was and talk about the game. Glad they expaneded so more people could see the light.

My expectations of the MP were quite low btw, that is before they revealed the MP at TGS(?). I thought the MP would take a step back in favour of the best possible SP.

Well it is the best-looking FPS on consoles even in beta form and it plays even better than it looks, so I don't blame ya. >:3

Mine were low also. But that's largely because I have a really hard time getting into multiplayer shooters. The last one I really enjoyed was Goldeneye. I've tried others but none of them really clicked with me. But the KZ2 mutliplay beta is amazing. Outside of Mirror's Edge and MGS4, it's the most fun i've had with any game this year.

Another disappointed member here. I didn't even have a chance to enter the last two twitter contests because they were at awkward hours...Times when the majority of people are working, school, etc...Fucking lame duck - oh well, the beta does end in a few days so it's not all that bad, and soon enough February.

So there's only been one GAFer to get a code?

They're going to take it away from us soon :(

The wait until Feb will be unbearable :(

GG, come on, let's strike a deal, we all buy the game and you guys keep the beta server running?

I thought a certain other game would be much better than KZ2 so my expectation was that it wouldn't be the number 1 shooter anyway but the beta proved me wrong totally. >:3
