Simply put - wow! The demo is quite good, although on the short side. Just make want to play the full game more, which is the purpose of a demo I suppose.

I messed around in the warehouse after killing off the helghast - try shooting at the roof and watch the sparks tumble to the floor. they even bounce realistically off objects in their path!

I guess if the gun doesn't control like it's half an ounce in weight, the control is "laggy."

And that is why when you have a big franchise FPS you need to spend at least 2-3 years on a sequel making sure the quality is there. The polish extends everywhere from level design to controls to MP maps to weapon feel to all the tiny little graphical touches and animations that make the experience so much more.

If I were to set up a Euro account, should I create a new e-mail account as if I were in Europe? I'm itching to play this demo, and I didn't pre-order at GS.

Yeah, that's the impression I got from playing through the demo.

Standard 1 = RB6
Alt. 2 = COD

It's not quite 1 to 1 for either, but it's pretty close.

You don't need a real email at all. Just make sure you include @ and .

I did something like tgt@er.tg and it works fine.

thought so too at first, but keep at it (standard 1). When you get used to them (took my like 2 playthru's), the game get's really good. Awesome AI.
 
Played through it twice, pretty fucking awesome. Aiming is the only thing I'm having trouble with right now, I set the sensitivity all the way up and I still wasn't completely satisfied with it. Maybe I'll get used to it after playing some more.

That would so be how the conver would go between me and my wife too. I thought about calling home and asking her to download it now that its been confirmed that the US Gamestop codes are working, but your post here made me think twice. Screw it, I'll just do it when i get home. :lol :lol

cool demo, a bit short. I played it in russian. Felt it added to the presentation, which was pretty great btw. I need more russian in my games...

Blast I got rapping granny's code and it doesn't work for me. Some of the letters got accidenlty ripped from the scratch thingy. Oh well thanks for the code rapping granny. I'll try to win one on the playstation blog.

i changed sensetivity to max, but could it be that the handgun still reacts way slower than the rifle?

its too short to really say something other than that it looks good...

edit: well yes the sound and musik are outstanding!

Fuck, I wish I could go around to every GameStop in the country with a megaphone telling people they don't need to pre-order the game just to get a fucking demo. What a shitty way to do business.
 
Ok, first of, graphics, sounds, almost everything about the game is amazing. Don't want to go into detail there, its obvious, where I want to go however is the motherfucking retarded PS3 controller. The button layout is pure shit. Right now, I want to smack the bitch ass motherfucker a couple of times who designed the trigger buttons. Fucking piece of shit, crouching and shooting is no fun when the finger always slips and my wrist hurts after playing. FUUUUUCK, I want to love this game, but if I cant find a good layout (because wahtever layout I pick, fucking L2 is always for crouching) or get kinda used to the fucking L2 trigger...I don't know :/

Playing it COD4 style is also impossible. L1+L2+R1+fhfehucfbu...then I thought "ok, fine, L3 to zoom is fine too" but there is still the shitty shitty SHITTY TRIGGER I have to hold for way too long, and it's not really comfortable. ARGH.

Every weapon has different maneuverability. Especially when using iron sights.

Not really. In Multiplayer you really want to be using as much cover as possible. Hell, in singleplayer you want to do that too.

It really can take a little bit to get used to the controls but once they click... man does it ever work out great.

I enjoyed the demo a lot. Played through it twice and found the controls to be excellent. I haven't notice and lag for the controls that were noticeable or bothersome. It was short but I felt like I got enough gameplay to know I'm going to enjoy the game, while it left me wanting more. So it served its purpose as a demo. February 27th cannot come soon enough. :D

Correct. People are wanting it to control like a 1/4lb gun on a stick, with your character having instant reflexes like he doesn't weigh a thing either. Basically, they don't want anything being close to feeling a shred of realism, like you're really using weapons.
