Made this gif just to show you guys WEIGHT. lol input lag.

See how Sevs knees buckle? and also look how it takes him a partial second steady his aim.
No-no, the jumping is fuck-awesome. The buckle, then the leap? Fantastic.

It's the wait before all that. Basically:

My fingers: "Jump, Sev!"
Sev: "..."
Sev: "...okay!"

And he starts to jump. It's just that lag between intention and the start of any action. I'm all for natural movement, nobody is dogging on it. =)

I'm not sure which is worse, "bland visuals" or "OK, matched COD4 and COD: WaW"...

I think the latter, because it's so objectively wrong.

Maybe he was playing is SD. In SD I think the COD games look great and I can kinda see how KZ2 isn't a huge thing.

But in HD WaW looks pretty trashy to me, plays great though.

Dont forget no co-op..

we got... no co-op, too gamey, samey, sticky test, lag test, too blandy , too weighty, too blury and wondering whats next?

If Killzone 2 is an example of "bland visuals" then only the most direct opposite description would be apt for a game that's beyond Killzone 2's "bland".

Ass searingly spicy visuals.

too much swearing.

There is nothing to debate. I played through the demo multiple times. The visuals are great, but no more impressive than some of the big set pieces in the last two Call of Duty games. How is this such an outlandish statement?

It's funny to see the reactions from just a differing opinion. I agree that after all the hoopla and praising of the graphics I was underwhelmed by the demo visually. It looks great but not something head and shoulders better than everything else out there. That's just foolishness. Uncharted for instance looks better in many ways.

I don't get why this is labeled as "realism" now. It's weighted, but not realistic at all.

Pick up something with weight that you can hold like a gun. Can you move around instantly and stop when you want to stop with it? Now imagine you're a space marine who has been pumping steroids-- you would probably be better at moving that object around and stopping with greater accuracy.

There's simply a longer pause from when you start moving the analog stick to the time the reticule moves than there would be if you had a gun in your hand and you wanted to move it. The acceleration also doesn't mimic human reflexes in the least. It feels unnatural, if anything.

Wow, you are stupid.

Ok, I haven't been following the thread lately, but has it been confirmed if the crouch can be switched to toggle instead of hold in the retail version?

bad dub, repetitive enemies, you can't crawl...

Only in MP.

Another key difference that KZ2 has when compared to nearly all other console shooters is a lack of auto-aim. This game nearly has none. When in hip fire, it has a tiny amount of it, but in iron sights it has none. Either way, the game has exponentially less than any other console fps, so naturally it's going to be much harder to be pin point accurate, since for once you are expected to hit things with your complete personal skill, the computer isn't going to help you.
There's plenty of auto-aim. Especially the snap-to when you ADS. Good auto-aim just means you don't notice it. ;)

...oh man, I didn't understand the new thread title until I entered the thread. :lol

Some people need to just give it up. Stop complaining about a game you're never going to buy, and go back to CoD or the FEAR2 demo.
This pretty much. I don't go to a sonic thread just to derail and argue with people who will buy the game and I won't.

Weren't people saying that there isn't any at all in mp?

If it was there, it wasn't intrusive to say the least. It's not putting your reticle over an enemy, then iron sight, then pull trigger and boom headshot nearly across the map with a M60 heavy machine gun. Nor any heavy sticky aiming.

To be absolutely fair, the FEAR 2 demo was absolutely awesome. At the same time, I have never been as completely floored as I was by the demo of KZ2. Before I even moved an inch I turned off the HUD and could hardly believe what I was seeing. Maybe I'm not nearly as sophisticated (anal?) about the particulars of how my games play, but anyone who wasn't impressed with the demo must forgot that "playing" games comes first.

How powerful are headshots in MP? One-hit kill with every weapon? Do helmets have any effect like in SP?

Also, does health still regenerate or is it healthpacks all the way?

The Fear 2 demo was ruined for me by Killzone 2 multiplayer :-/

I'm playing Killzone (the first one) and that's what Fear 2 reminded me of. Felt so archaic.

Pretty powerful. Depending on if you get a full on centered headshot or not, though. One shot kill with sniper rifle pretty much anywhere on the body, though.

Wow, thoughtful response.

This thread fucking blows. manbabies all over. you guys are incapable of holding a discussion on any sort of criticism.

It would help if you're so-called discussion made any sense to begin with.

If you weren't a retard, We could have a good discussion. You act like these "ROIDED SPACE MARINES ROARR!" are light as a feather. Let me spell this shit out for you. Soldiers don't JUST carry a gun. Let's take Sev exactly as he is and think through this rationally.

He would most likely have these things on his person:
1 Primary Gun - Let's say, that's only 10 pounds max.(Real guns of this caliber are much much heavier)
1 Pistol - 5 pounds
3 grenades - 2 pounds each
Clips + Bullets - Probably have around 5 fully loaded clips at once. 15 pounds.
Body Armor - Lightest stuff nowadays is still about 50 pounds per full set.
Radio - 2 pounds
Canteen(Full) - 3 pounds
etc.

Let's take the bare fucking minimum(which I've laid out, this doesn't count extra rounds, helmet(which he doesn't seem to wear), extra load equipment, heavier guns, etc). We are still at a minimum of 82 pounds extra upon a person's body when decked out in Gear(which, since this is based in real-world, yet a bit better tech) I'd say, that yes...It would be hard to stop, start, or change directions in an instant. Now, my point still stands and quit bitching.

Why not type that instead being a total fucking cunt?

Also, you forgot the xanax he took, which helps explain the one second delay in telling him to point the gun or jump and when actually performs said action. Later!
