Ignore the haters, it was for a good cause. :lol

I'm surprised Sony isn't stopping this kind of thing. Ebay, I presume?

I hope you did other things too, because nerdtravelling is way stupid.

nerdtravelling? omg... well, my friend's mother is Japanese and she wanted us to stay with the family there, they were extremely nice and showed us around, I was mostly fascinated with the country and I'd like to return with my girlfriend someday. It wasn't a Metal Gear shopping trip to Japan, it was his desire to meet his family and my chance to know the country and shop around.

This is my plan (The same one as always):
Im gonna buy KZ2 and have lots of fun without thinking on lag input, console exclusivity, reviews, sales, rendering techniques.
A long time ago, people didnt care about that kind of things to have fun.
Lets go back to those times and just have fun.

Not really. The topic was a frickin' year old and it was constantly updated with the dojo stuff. Should probably have all been separate threads.

A new smash thread every day would have pissed eeeeeeeeveryone off.

Yeah, saw Bacon's playtime earlier.

Pretty standard, I suppose. My 'SP (or co-op) campaign over MP modes' preference isn't supported by too many games this generation. :(
Bioshock, Uncharted <3

my preference lies with the sp/co-op component too, but i also like it if that experience isn't filled with padding. cut the fat is what i always say. the Gears games do this perfectly, Uncharted too. it makes the games replayable. i hope kz2 fits into this category as well.

Now you're talking crazytalk. Discussing the bias of reviewsite/mag x is way more important than actually enjoying the game. Playing the game is not an end in itself, it is a means to further discredit the reviewsite/mag in question.

j/k I'm gonna enjoy the living shitstorm out of this as well, no matter what gamesradar, edge, christian gamer, maxim or other GAFfers think

I've seen guys glitching to get in the dropship and get ouf of the map. Did anyone manage to stop the game from fading out after entering that last section?

That sounds like a fun thing to do. But what will we do if we have too much fun? Won't that be a problem?

Haven't tried the demo yet... But you are saying it has realistic controls (~ Operation Flashpoint) while still giving you the "unlimited recharging" shield from Halo ???????

mhmhm scary tough... maybe enjoy it? :D
Or ...
You can play COD4 and be bored by the 'floaty' controls! joking man.
:lol

I just played the demo and holy dear muffin cakes. I played the beta, but this is some next level stuff. No hud or map and the graphics just made it epic and FUN. I was completely overwhelmed by the graphics even though I have seen all the pic's and gif, it's just a monster in motion and no other console game can touch this. I also loved the cover system, I don't think I can play another FPS that lets you run around in the open like an idiot.

Can't wait for the final game.

If that's a review build you bought - good luck playing multiplayer when the servers go up!

And I would also like to know who you bought it from~

True.

Long and quality > short and quality > long and padded.

If you face the wall to the right of the entrance you can walk to the other end of the final area without the demo ending, as soon as you turn around it'll fade out though. As far as I know that's all there's to it.

<3 Kioku. I love to hate you. :lol

I know know the feeling. :(

Well, I can't say anything about Killzone 2, but a press copy can either be a BluRay-R (which isn't playable on any normal PS3, chipped or not) or just a regular pressed disc which has red standard design and works on any console. The red discs normally play online with no problems, I'm using LBP and all the Singstars this way.

The most light sources in one Killzone 2 scene is...

By now you should know about Killzone 2's deferred rendering and its talent for multiple lights. Most games have around four light sources, so how many does Killzone 2 have?

In a previous video interview, Killzone 2 development director Arjan Brussee demonstrated a scene featuring 230 different light sources, including multiple lights on flying sentry bots.

I thought that number was the game's pinnacle; however, in a highly recommended
3DWorld Magazine feature (available in UK shops now), it's revealed that there are an incredible 350 light sources in one Killzone 2 scene.

wow, amazing.

This tech is really from 2015...TREY FO LI4E!

I have to say the Killzone 2 demo is impressive, much more than I thought it would be.

The visuals are not quite as unbelievable as I expected, however that's mainly due to the amount of exposure the game and more specifically the technical aspects have received. Audio is stellar.

I do have concerns with some of the textures, filtering techniques, geometry and frame-rate issues. The aesthetic in general though is quite spectacular, some beautiful lighting techniques and post-processing effects.

The gameplay is solid, visceral and engaging although it does little to elevate itself beyond a tactical first person shooter. I believe GG were always aiming for a realistic experience, and this design concept leaves little room for imagination and innovation.

The reviews are very positive, and I'm excited to play the full version.

A reasonable and positive assessment of the demo that couldn't possibly offend anyone?

That's disgusting. I think you can do better, Opus.

Ah, and thanks to the guy who mentioned the Full/Limited RGB option. Now I can actually see the symbol when calibrating the demo
and half of the blacks are greyish now - fuck! :p
