nope

jett said:Protip: Uncharted doesn't load during cut-scenes, you can skip them and the game will start immediately. KZ2 doesn't either.
jett said:nope
TTP said:It depends on WHEN you push the button to skip them. If you do so after the level has been loaded (but the cutscene is still going) of course it starts right away. But try and skip a cutscene as soon as it begins and you'll have to wait (black screen + rotating golden coin in the lower right corner).
Well, you know what I meant!Truant said:Actually, that's exactly what it was, even by your own definition. :lol

Yeah.. most fps put you in some kind of zoomed-in focus mode when using iron-sights.Tideas said:you know, one thing i never understood that FPS do is that, when you zoom in, for a lot of these FPS, you actually zoom in on the target.
It's like, instead of moving the gun up to your eyes to aim, you move your head to the gun.
It'd be kinda cool where when you zoom, you don't actually zoom in for a closer distance, but just be able to see down the site in future FPS's
TTP said:Yep. Every levels starts after a (quite long) loading screen. I think it caches some data the first time you load a level cos loading that level again after quitting is a bit faster. Basically, it's like Halo.
Wolfenstein Enemy territory does and its a thing I really loveTTP said:I nice touch to notice about KZ2 is how the weapon gets closer to the center/point of you when you crouch. Don't recall ever noticing this in other FPSs.

Paint a dot on your screen.Always-honest said:how the hell do you aim without the crosshair?... only with ironsight?
veteran agreed.
amar212 said:Only with ironsight. Turn-off the hints and crosshair (HUD is handy because it shows you weapon pickups) in the first coming-through and you'll be much happier with yourself later.
Lord Error said:Uncharted was actually using realtime engine for cutscenes, but they just recorded them as video files, it wasn't pre-rendered CG.
I don't think that's the case here - it looks like KZ2 is using fully realtime rendered cutscenes. Are you sure you've seen compression artifacts or something of that kind? In the demo, transition between the intro cutscene and the gameplay was completely seamless.
Awntawn said:oh god, the twitch lol. looks so real it's eerie D;
EschatonDX said:It seems like the M82 gets a lot more use because of that dot sight huh. The rest of the weapons should have some sort of aiming peripheral beside ironsights..
TTP said:It's the year 2350 man. Technology is not that advanced to make dot sights a commodity.

That never makes any sense to me either. Why would the Helghast be the ones having production issues when they're the ones on the industrial side of the colonial coin? They should have scopes on every weapon.

Are you mad? They shoot lightning out of guns! Lightning!TTP said:As I said earlier in this thread, I think Guerrilla has been too conservative when thinking about future military technology. They basically wrapped modern warfare with a futuristic look. I hope they push technology ahead in KZ3, albeit I have no idea how they could justify it story-wise. They might set the game in year 2500 or whatever, but it wouldn't be enough. I need a reason as to why, in the year 2350, military tech is less advanced than in GRAW. Ian, good luck with that![]()
I was thinking MP. But can you think of anytime where an SMG had the upper hand against someone with the standard rifle?TTP said:No, it's not. Did you miss the part where I said it depends on the situation? There are situations where the SMG is a life saver. Talking SP only.
As for MP, it really depends on your approach. If you plan to get close and personal, it's perfect. The Sabouter is equipped with it for a reason. He theoretically has to infiltrate enemy lines and do as many kills as possible before being revealed.
Full Recovery said:Are you mad? They shoot lightning out of guns! Lightning!
Speaking of Saboteurs, how does the disguise stuff work in MP? What can you do while in disguise? Free backstabs and such? And can you get revealed by say, bumping into an enemy or being "scouted"?TTP said:As for MP, it really depends on your approach. If you plan to get close and personal, it's perfect. you mean like.. cyborgs?.. damn.. imagine their A.I. and targeting skills! 0_oEschatonDX said:Well then they should have at least some form of targeting inside their helmets, or something of that nature. This game is really unrealistic in terms of military tech though so I guess I'm just complaining.
