Kindom Under Fire:Heroes First Impressions!

Well, I tried it out last night (been playing Ninja Gaiden Black all weekend). Unfortunately, all the voices for the characters have changed, which kinda sucks since I liked some of them (granted, the voice acting in both games isn't that good, but I thought the voices fit really well in the first one). The music in this one though is REALLY bad...I literally had to turn it down because it was that annoying. The first one's music wasn't great, but it wasn't annoying. The graphics are still incredible for a current generation title. Oh, and the game seems harder than the original...which should be fun. :)

It was very difficult going from NG:B (which I was all I was playing this weekend) to this. It'll take some getting used to. The combat felt very clumsy...but I'm sure after some time I'll get used to it. As many have stated, this game is definitely for fans and veterans of the original, since the game almost assumes you know what to do...

Any other impressions out there?

Didn't get a chance toplay it at all this weekend. Stayed up late Saturday playing Indigo Phophecy, Burnout Revenge, Ultimate Spiderman, RS: Lockdown, and some older XBL titles. Sunday after chruch my wife had an insanely huge 'honey do' list. I was supposed to try the online co-op versus gameplay. I'll try to make time tonight.

I imagine getting an online get going with this is going to be tough due to the lack of people who own this. PM me if you wanna try and set something up. Gamertag: Manngc

I am enjoying it. I haven't gone online. I didn't play the first but this one is fun but I have to say it has been hard in places. (Ellen's cave level was brutal). I wish you could level up your troops by repeating missions a la dynasty warriors I think that would make the game better.

I don't know if I would like that, because then the game just turns into a grind fest. I prefer just to maximize the xp from the given battles and pushing forward. It feels less cheap this way.

I haven't tried the online modes yet, but their 2-6 player now and even have a co-op mode. But it's all through xbox live...no system link. That would have been sweet, though.

Thanks and I will try to do that. I probably won't have the time until this weekend, and I'm saving some time for Far Cry: Insticnts. But I would at least like to try the co-op online play. I have 2 other freinds that may try as well. I'll PM you by Friday. <thumbs up>

In the original I leveled up my troops by not finishing those endless respawn missions right away. there was no gold cap but there was a cap on exp =(. It was still useful though.
