Well, because the first KCD is amazing IMO! One of the best games I've played in the past 15 years, so it makes sense to me that it's drawing this kind of attention.

KCD1 was an amazingly refreshing experience and in my opinion it's among the best RPGs released in the last decade (or maybe even more). For once you're not playing another fantasy adventure and instead everything's realistic. Henry is not some 'chosen one', he sucks at almost everything at the beginning of the game and he slowly has to learn things. Plus great writing, great characters, great ideas for some quests and lots of freedom.

KCD2 has a chance to do many things even better. The devs learned some things and they don't have to worry so much about working on a limited budget.

If u knew that kcd was this good, i would had give a fair shot years ago, just by looking at gameplay on YT i was bored, oh boy, i was wrong, here are some tips to help you If you decide to give another shot

Once you get to Rattay and got a horse all the parts are good, but i would recommend following the MQ and doing some bandits camp to get the combat, learn Master Strike as soon you got to Rattay and have fun, choose a weapon and stick to it in order to learn combos, combat is basic Parry>combo>kill

Once u are strong enough you ll be killing enemies in one hit after a master strike, like a true Knight.

Do some Theresa SQ for some hot action and do Hans SQ, they are awesome.

As soon you have your horse go learn how to read, its a game changer since you get lots of free skill points from books.

One last thing, combat is not the focus of the game even If its fun once you understand how it works, Its all about the joy of exploring the world, characters and stories that are presented to you.

Nice I just started today going to follow through with this game plan.

It feels like the twitter thread Daniel Vavra posted a few days ago addressing some of this is being ignored? Seemed a lot more like Warhorse sticking to their guns if anything.

Their guns were: Henry is canonically straight and there were no black guys in bohemia in the middle ages. Their new guns are Henry can fuck a guy in the ass from time to time if he feels like it, and there were blacks in Bohemia.

It has been pointed out in other threads, the DEI/Woke/Modern Audience shit was hammered so hard on gamers, that even the slightest possibility of it in a game gets a ton of attention. Is it overkill? Maybe.

What is more annoying? Woke, or the anti-anti-woke? Since woke is on life support, it seems to have been replaced by the anti-anti-woke crowd telling us the same thing as the woke crowd used to. We need to shut up and just buy and enjoy every game.

Regarding this game specifically, I would be surprised if there is not more modern audience pandering in it. I will be paying attention to reviews and GAFs impressions once it comes out. I was wanting to check this out, but now I am in wait and see mode.

Like I keep telling friends and family humans are trash they rather be in Group A and Group C but there's no Group B where we can all work together to have what we like and say for example a game it's only what i want and fuck anything else the other side wants.

Yes, you can decide Henry is gay suddenly in this game. That's the only thing so far, as I understand it, that rubs me the wrong way. While yes, it's a role playing game and you are in control of Henry, that seems opposite of what I understood from the character in the first game. Completely.

The very opening minutes he wanted to eat Theresa's ass, as she wagged it away like a good kitty.

Even if overkill, anti woke will forever and always support women and the removal of asshole men from women's sports, boys in girls rooms etc... So even if anti woke can perhaps be overly touchy I'll take it, that's a sacrifice I'll fucking take and be a part of if it means common fucking sense, but that's just me
