- The other source says they did encounter the first two scenes, but there was no exposed phallus and that the scene (all scenes in game) are skippable. Said it was a very "Game of Thrones" type of vibe and you kill the guy.

I don't know why everyone's focusing on the 'skip' part, the first game had skipable cut-scenes too. My best guess is that the machine translation of the Arabic tweet meant that it's an unavoidable part of the story, not that the scene itself cannot be skipped.

Damn, I didn't really care about some option to make Henry gay (as long as it's handled realistically within the historical context).
But this really does raise some red flags. They've basically taken a complete 180 turn from the previous game. They went from "Henry is NOT you, he is a pre established character who is straight" to " You ARE Henry, and he is bi".

Agree. This is pretty much a red flag to me. Henry is not an avatar, he is character for the first one and if they made that kinda of change, would be better to have a character creation instead.

What a shame. I'll prefer to skip this game for now.

Grummz is simping hard for this game, not sure I'd trust him. Not that I trust the source he's referencing either, but his Tweets on all of this seem very questionable and he's got a lot of vitriol in his replies aimed squarely at him for appearing to ride some kind of fence.

I don't care about Grummz either way, just can't help but watch this trainwreck, it's better than old History channel content.

Edit: By "source he's referencing", I'm talking about the screencap of the Steam comment, not whoever his alleged source is, sorry for that poor wording.

Also, some people are mentioning a change of direction. KCD was never about no cocks, it was about historical accuracy. Vavra mentioned that ingame the matter is treated as a demonic act like it was in the middle ages, and if that's the case then I guess it's fine.

Imo people are focusing a lot on this. KCD was all about the writting and the immersion, and if that's still as great or even better as before then we are in for a ride. Now, if the writting turns out to be shit, then the game will be shit as well. We'll see, but personally I bet on the game being good.

They are woke cause they add an option to be gay, even though u can kill gay npc apparently and cause they allocate one black npc in game ? if this is being woke wtf DAV and BG3 are ?

I don't really care about the gay stuff, even though it's very different from what was established in the first game about Henry and contradict the declaration of the studio itself. It feels forced and in contradiction but that wont stop me from playing the game. Now with the merchant, why not choose an Ottoman instead of a West African? Why does he have to say how much better Muslims treat women(!)? For a game that is know for it's historical accuracy with the dev making it a strong selling point, this is ridiculous.

At the end of the day I think people are just tired of seeing this king of stuff shoveled everywhere. If you want to include gay characters go for it! But do it right, that's why many don't care about BG3 for example and love the game. At least that's how I feel.

Obviously, we have to wait a little bit more to know whether the game is woke or not. I am not saying it is woke. But their previous stance was Henry is heterosexual and that´s it, and there were no black people in Bohemia in the 14th century, and they were called nazis and taking flak for it. They were the canary in the coal mine. Having a game without DEI or LGBT options for the main character is the proof that you can do it. And I wanted to support them just for that, to prove that you can do a game about white heterosexual people if you want to.
