IT'S TENTACLE RAPE TIME.

But seriousy, this game looks amazing. I'm probably going to get it just to satisfy my inner graphics whore.

That's absurdly good-looking. The environment is pitch perfect, from what they've released anyway; it was, arguably, the greatest trait of its predecessor. Every cutscene had a character I remembered fondly. Will this game have a faster pace than the original KH game?

Man, beautiful. I wonder how the animation will look on Steamboat Willy. I'd be willing to bet they go in exaggerated cycles, like where the steam comes out. Fat, skinny, fat, skinny. Looks amazing. Especially love the redone Goofy design for Steamboat and the clean, simple black and white look. Just perfect.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not little mermai again

it'd be nice of them to use that engine on some other game

and I hope Dirge of Cerberus looks this good

were they always that big?
Yes (just watched the movie on TV FTFT).
KH2 looks sooo good. I hope they fix the bad controls&camera of the first part (onl heard of them though, never played the game...).

I so cant wait for this game..

I played Chain of Memories, and the ending in that setup #2 perfectly.

Does anyone know if they intend to get back Haley Joel Osment and the others from the first game for this one?

Also, does anyone know if they are going to be using the real actors from Pirates for the voices in the game? I would hope so...

orlando bloom, johnny depp and keira knightley were all listed at imdb.com but they are removed now. guess we have to wait and see.

another interesting thing, might be old

The PS2 won't be able to do such heavy anti-aliasing, will it?

Yeah, that's what I think as well...these are so smooth and perfect I highly doubt they'll look like that on my TV. But hey, it's not like it's uncommon practice to release superclean shots nowadays, getting used to it. I still love how it looks though...Steamboat Willie world looks ace.

Looks great. Most everything Dsiney looks pretty representative, though some like Meg and other Hercules characters have unfortunately lost some of their unique edgy design from the movie. Not the game engine's fault, as Disney apparently wasn't able (or willing) to keep with the original Gerald Scarfe-influenced style of Hercules for mrelated media as time has passed.

Even the DVD art for Hercules "Gold Collection" I recently picked up has rounder/softer drawings that don't represent the unique look of the movie it contains.

Incidentally, the Kingdom Hearts manga is available at bookstores and comic shops.

Kind of OT, but it caught my eye today. Whoever they got to draw it did a really nice job of representing Disney's characters in the wacky jappy world of manjajajajajajajaja.

absolutely beautiful.
Hopefully Nomura is past his 'freshman' phase (as far as game 'directing' goes), has learned from his mistakes after KH1, and has a fantastic game in store for us w/ KH2.

...or he could just be a Kitase wannabe for his whole career. :l

Man, I can't imagine a PS3 KH3 looking much better @_@

I'm Sorry, but that looks absolutely AMAZING.
How the hell is the PS2 doing that?

I think this is a clear example of how inteligent design and good art is worth so much more than raw console power. Some of those shots look directly ripped from their movies.

Oh, and I love the Mickey's steamboat scene. So classic.

These games should really be more popular.

I haven't even finished the first one, I got to the Tarzan area and stopped playing because I kept falling off the tree canopy. :lol

Playstation 2 has to have one of the, if not THE, strongest finishes of any console in gaming history. They're ending this gen with a bang.

I don't really think it's that extraordinary when you look at how the original PlayStation, or the SNES finished.

Thanks for mentioning that! I've been waiting a good long year since they announced it so I'll try and pick that up sometime tomorrow with Hikaru No Go #5 =D

As a Kingdom Hearts fanboy, I approve these screenshots. All the new worlds fantastic, but i'm sort of cringing at the return of The Little Mermaid. Granted, I love the Little Mermaid but I couldn't stand that world in the original. The clumsy swimming mixed with the awkward puzzles just killed it for me.

I don't know how many people were banking on it, but the December 2nd release at both EB and Gamestop has now changed to 3/1/06. I'm assuming that was never a final date in the first place, but we had a bunch of people upset at that today.
