EDIT: BTW, in general I think people have talent if they can rap in the first place. Why do you guys think these rappers get signed and make huge dough? They might not use their talent to satisfy everyone's tastes however. Who cares though, it's just mainstream music. It'd be hard for an artist who raps about what's wrong with the world today or whatever you elitist douchebags want to hear about sell a decent amount.
And yes, 50, Eminem, and most rappers are very talented people. Eminem's got awesome storytelling, and I love 50's flow all the same. There's something about 50's raps that just make them so much more appealing than more underground artists, though that's probably the production by Dre :lol

It was hilarious, Diddy didn't want ANYONE. He was ready to just bail out on the whole thing, but others said there are 5 girls out there who can be in a group. Then after Diddy was forced to pick some girls, you can see he was pissed off with that "What have I got myself into?" look :lol

Hell even I like to beat off on some eminem occasionally, but to say he has talent and that he's one of the best in his genre? I think not. It's not so much the fact that you think they are talented than the fact that you're so eager to prove me wrong when I say that they aren't. Maybe we have a different opinion on what talent is: I dont think a person is talented just because they can make a "rhyme" with the same word used three times in a row in a song that's about drugs, money, their ego and "hoes." Every rapper does it atleast once, but it's all I've heard from eminem and 50 cent, there's never any bigger message, and in em's case, there's never any message that isn't sluggishly delivered.
and yes, Dr dre has talent for making beats, even the ones 50 uses.
Say what you will about Em's current record, or most of his lyrical content, but as an emcee he's fucking out of hand. His flow is completely bonkers, and the way he phrases words, and alters his speed to fit the rhyme structure is great. He's really good at freestyling, to boot. He's gotten a bit lazy, though. 50's done the same thing.
