That's according to Famitsu.

Probably it's this:

Gitaroo-Man 2?

Who am I kidding...we know its a Dynasty Warriors title.

EDIT: oh wait a minute. This is for that 'Oni' game that was announced a few months ago. Right?

I'm beginning to wonder more and more what form PS3's presence at the show will take..

Will everything be channeled through Sony's pre-show conference?

Will publishers be able to show things themselves, independently, on the showfloor (if in video form only)?

Will *anything* be playable?

Regardless of all of the above, will we get formal game announcements, or will they just throw out some suggestive demos and make us draw our own conclusions (as I believe was the case with the original PS2 debut)? The last couple of days seems to suggest there'll be proper game announcements (with DICE pencilling in some games now for "Sony next-gen" etc., and now Koei).

I'm guessing it terms of how much is shown and announced it might be something of a midway point between PS2's first debut and its first TGS...(?) Presumably we can at least expect more than if it had been presented back in March as originally planned.

Yes,the game&movie project with Akira Kurosawa.
It was the first announced PS3 title ever with a budget of 28 million dollars (for both the game and movie).

Oni? I thought Oni was a game by Rockstar? Anyways, I would love to see a DW title; hopefully we'll see thousands of well detailed characters on screen at the same time(I wish :lol )

Let's just hope we won't have thousands of characters but with fog as the background also this generation :lol :lol
Koei isn't really a master of graphics...

Bungie's Oni is not related to this. And you might get your wish for war scenes - Koei's Oni focuses on a blonde-haired samurai warrior in war-torn 16th century Japan.

1st post is not entirely accurate.
Famitsu says a PS-era game will get its next gen update shown at the pre-E3 Koei press conference. Platform is not specified.

So for all we know, it could be the debut of the next-gen Dynasty Warriors game for the Xbox 360...

My source is gamefront, and they talk about a PS3 announcement specifically.
Thanks for the exact details,so it will be a new Dinasty Warrior if it's a PSX era game.

Cheers Jonny, that does make things different.

Playstation-era or Playstation2-era?

I'd expect to see Oni nonetheless at E3, should probably be one of the first PS3 games..

So Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and Koei's 'Oni' might be walking down the same path...

Awesome. I wonder what percentage of the $28 million goes towards developing the game.......

:( Well as long as its next-gen.

Basically, we don't know shit at this point in time, other than Square and Koei are both holding pre-E3 conferences to show off some new stuff :) But next-gen announcements at this stage could go either way. Koei will release games for both 360 and PS3, that's no mystery.

If it's Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11, I will not be surprised.
I'm not saying it WILL be ROTK11, it's most likely it's not, but if it is, I won't be surprised.

I'm hoping for ROTK11, not just because I love the series, but it'd be the most glorious waste of graphical muscle of all time. :lol

Who knows though, if it is ROTK11 Sony would probably give Koei a hand to make sure it looks up to snuff, be a good move by Koei to get some help bringing the series' graphics into the new generation.

I've always pictured the ROTK series as needing to basically implant the Total War series for its battle engine, while keeping everything else in tact. Make some modifications to the combat engine so that you can have duels and whatnot still, but outside of that, good to go. :)
