E3 is a thing of the past. They can just as well stream for everyone. You still get to see the same content. Nintendo's Direct approach wasn't such a bad idea in the end.

Sony e3 2016 was the example of why live shows are still amazing. Something I'll rember for years.

Nintendos best direct is Reggie farting into the camera or some shit. A Nintendo direct you will literally forget the second you close the browser.

So when Sony said they are going to basically double the amount of 1st party gamedev studios headcount ($183M increase YoY on salaries) was because in addition to grow their existing studios they are going to buy Konami.
