The last entries were so bad, that I have no hope for this IP and Machine Games.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood was such a pile of excrement...

Loved all the games, yes even Youngblood was fine solo in low difficulty. Just hope they have sliders for camera sway and bob as these games have some insane amount of headbob that can't be minimized ( you can remove using console commands but that removes animations which make the game feel worse, W2 has a mod to remove, Youngblood had one but it's outdated)

More like Wokestein III, am I right? Wolfenstein II was so cringe and unbearable, I had to give up on it after 3-4 hours. And I loved all the previous Wolfenstein games since RtCW and even ET. And Youngblood killed the whole franchise for me.

I liked the first one a lot. 2 was one of the worst games I played that year. I couldn't even finish it with its terrible story and writing. Maybe 3 will return to form? I like the concept but it's just been handled less than perfect.

I'm willing to give it a chance.

I liked The New Order when it came out but didn't really hold up to my memory on a recent replay. I ended up enjoying The Old Blood more due to brevity.

Not really sure about this dev at this point and thought Indiana Jones was an absolute bore. We'll see...

Was Wolfenstein II still good? I'm not sure when the reboot actually went down the tubes.

Depends on who you ask. It released at a pretty intense time here politically. Game reviewers loved it because you were mowing down Nazi's/2016 Trump supporters, and the actual trailer helped feed the flames

Anyone else remember the "Make America Nazi Free Again" commercial? :messenger_grinning_smiling:

I didn't try it until a couple years later and I had a good time despite it being glaringly obvious it came out at close to peak time of insane, strong female leads (ie the birth of Debra Wilson and a big afro = always a strong black female).

It's definitely longer than the first (and the first was lengthy as is) and the gunplay is still satisfying. It's pretty. And it's got some pretty insane Tarantino-esque scenes.

The report says that they're also working on a R6 Siege-type MP game. Unless you believe that MachineGames has three teams, then it's safe to say that the Indy sequel isn't happening anytime soon.
Ahh, missed that part.

I guess I'm not shocked. It was a fantastic game, but seemed like it didn't take off sales wise. I would have liked 1 more, but that's it.

I'm surprised to see the negative feedback to the past titles. I thought most folks loved those games minus new blood or whatever with the chicks.

I'm down for a new title. Indiana is a good game but wolfenstein just has a much better combat loop obviously. Take the best parts of Indy and couple it with best parts of wolfenstein to have a really good game.

That's cool. Hopefully they pull back on the whole over the top grindhouse thing more because it just didn't click with a lot of people, lol.

Youngblood was also awful, so, hopefully they make this land much like the first reboot did. If not better.

I'm really confused why they haven't touched Quake at all though? Why has a Quake reboot just not been done at all?

Youngblood can be explained by the era of Bethesda chasing GAAS with fallout 76, Youngblood and Redfall, basically alienating the developers to do shit they didn't want to do. Indiana Jones to me proves they have the peoples over there still wanting to make good single player games..

Last entries but you mention youngblood only?

Wolfenstein II the new colossus was awesome. Not as good as new order but still awesome. A lot of iconic scenes.

Can't wait to kill Nazis again

I liked the new Wolfenstein Games and MachineGames delivered with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle maybe the best game of this franchise and a great action-adventure.
I'm looking forward.

I doubt they pull back from that. They're supposedly doing an Amazon show also, and that's kind of their thing with The Boyz, Gen Z and even parts of Fallout.

Loved the first and the expansion, 2 was damn good but never quite matches the original.

Never played the one with the twins for whatever reason, probably because it wasn't really in the mainline.

Gun play was always solid in these games and the bits in between in the first 2 amazing but they kind of lost it a bit with the 2nd one.

So yeh, bring on a third, Machine Games are a talented group

Yeah, I mean, I don't mind it. But the second game took it even further, and so far that people were triggered by all sorts of stuff in it, lol. Really? I didn't realize that.
