Just like Cerny's road to ps5 speech, I'm walking away thinking the I/O throughput and kraken is probably more important than another TF or two . . .

I guess just compare what the extra TFs gives you to what the additional I/O and compression does.

But overall the differences between the systems are quite small.

Every trusted insiders was saying that they were closer than ever before the gen launched like Matt.And so far they've been proven right.

True I really haven't seen a massive difference between the two. The Series X has a TF advantage while the PS5 has an I/O advantage but neither is a huge one. The only system that really falls behind is the Series S but its not supposed to compete with the more powerful systems.

Yep and I don't know why but it seems to infuriate console warriors.They have to win and the other have to fail, there's no inbetween.So I guess seeing them trade blows and the "win" switching side almost every other game is hard for them to deal with.

Hey Mr. Fishy! Just FYI on the storage upgrade. If you're looking...I tried the Patriot Viper VP4300. Was one of the cheapest out there but also the fastest at 7400mbps. I SUCK with mechanical things. Was a laptop tech a long time ago and you did NOT want me working on your laptop! It would work, but I'd have a missing screw or two left over....lol. Anyway, it comes with TWO heatsinks and I was able to put both one quickly and easily and fit it in the PS5 easily as well. I mean the WHOLE operation probably took me about 10 minutes, including getting the PS5 case off. Was pretty amazing to me. And it even worked! I got the 2TB option just so I don't have to worry about storage ever again with this thing, but the 1TB option was the cheapest I could find for any compatible SSD drive. So might want to take a look at that one if you're in the market.

Yea, the main differences that matter to me are the controllers and VR support. Hopefully Xbox upgrades their controllers now that the dualsense features seem to be pretty widely adopted.

I'll agree that Sony did one heck of a job soon the Dual Sense. It would be nice if Xbox added haptics and upgraded those triggers. As for VR I never really tried it so I can't say much about it. It does seem like it would be great with Dreams though.

I once heard someone say this about a very petty person we knew but I think this applies very well to console warriors too!

"It's not enough for him to be better, he wants the others to lose on top!".
They don't want to only have the better console, they must also make sure the other one knows they lost! Bickering around in good fun is okay but some do really take it far sometimes, and the issue isn't with going too far once or twice, but constantly. Neither of us is a saint, we all went overboard with some argument about something that was passionate to us but I'd say the difference is, most can acknowledge in hindsight that they were too emotional, but the worst warriors just keep going and going with no self reflection.

I mean..look how big the Tf difference is between this gen and the last one. Yet this is the smallest evolution between gens we ever got. One or 2 tflops won't make a big difference.

The fact last year's TLOU2 impressed me more than 99% of what I saw this gen so far says it all
