U.K.-based Kuju Entertainment has announced Project Interceptor (working title), its first game for Sony's PlayStation Portable.

The game is a multiplayer arcade flight combat title that will take advantage of the PSP's networking feature for multiplayer dogfights.

Jonathan Newth, Managing Director of Kuju commented, "We're extremely pleased that Sony has given us the support to proceed with 'Project Interceptor'. Developing the prototype has been an enjoyable and instructive experience and we're looking forward to exploring the PSP's potential." He continued, "Now we'll certainly be talking to publishers who are keen to have early PSP titles."

According to IGN, it is not a mockup.

Edit: Do you mean the way its displayed as if on actually playing on the PSP? If so, then yes, I'd imagine that is mocked up. But the screenshot itself is indicative of actual in-game visuals.

Namco's Ace Combat on PSP (when it happens and you know it will) will totally crush Project Intercepter

if there is one thing Kuju are good at, its technology and simulation - wait, thats two things...

So a flight sim is a perfect type of game from them. If they can get the feel right for an arcadish flight sim, it could be a winner. I'm already liking the look of the padlock view HUD
