New VIRTUA FIGHTER Project | Combat Gameplay First Look

Yeah it would probably result in a full year of exclusivity.

I miss the arcades, I do t miss the business.
Just imagine if Tekken 8 and SF 6 came out to arcade, and this upcoming VF project, that will truly rejuvenate the fighting game industry and make gaming for mass market again.

For me personally and I think and for many others into competitive fighting games we need to feel the series has a future. I and am sure many other would've groaned at them doing more updates of VF5 and announcing a world tour and no new game. A new VF on the horizon gives the current game with it's updates and world tour a shot in the arm at least. I wouldn't have cared about either without that. Tokon is a new standalone series in a completely different situation.

I agree though that they shouldn't be doing these presentations without something substantial to show. They've said it's their biggest most ambitious game to date so they need to give themselves more time instead of drip feeding tidbits.
I'll say it again, nobody cares about another Virtua Fighter 5 release. Imagine if Capcom was trying to hype another Street Fighter IV release, like lol.

There are plenty of fighters to play, and more coming out. These horrible VF6 showings are killing the buildup for the game. Take the time you need but when you do show it, make sure it is awesome. This stuff is BS.

But the difference here is that Sega have been out of this sort of thing for a long time. Namco and Capcom in particular have built up this world tour hype and advanced their netcodes. At the least the VF5 releases will allow them to gain the experience to hit the ground running with VF6. VF5 Ultimate Showdown and Revo both had major issues on release. I hope they would've learned a lot from that and all the feedback their taking on board. VF6 can't afford those kind of mistakes on release and hopefully the running of the world tour will continue to be improved upon.

As far as I am concerned VF has more future potential than Tekken 8, Street Fighter VI, Guilty Gear Strive, and Tokon combined.
