Not a fan of Judas, btw. Not even as good as Born This Way, much less Bad Romance. The song sounds like it's trying too hard, if that makes sense.
sorta like this "so bad it's good" cover? yeah. I liked Bad Romance and parts of Alejandro, but since then it's been slim and if she's gonna purposefully make obviously poor shit for people to enjoy ironically Imma go somewhere else.

Song's definitely better than Born This Way, but it's a very messy Bad Romance 2.0. The beginning's great, and the beats are fantastic, but I really dislike the "I'm just a holy fool..." part - so cheesy. Without that part the song would be infinitely better.

LOL. I like this version of the cover better already.

So apparently the single came out three days early because that's how early Judas betrayed Jesus before Easter.

I find that interesting, is it true though? >_>

Oh lord, those photoshops are going to be the death of me. Too much hilarity. And holy shit at the Kesha garbage truck!

LOL! Katy's expression on the plastic bag.

Katy side-story - i was asked by a friend to go over east to go on tour with her. I had to decline due to funds. Worst.

That said I really don't know much of her music so maybe it's for the best :p
oh my god - just noticed koodo's new avatar. amazing.

They're clearly doing anything possible to make people talk about everything she does, no matter what. With album covers, that could mean either make a really good one, or a really bad one. Off course, the latter is much easier so they went with that.

Off course some will eat it up saying it's "freedom of expression", "so bad its good", "she was born this way", "her own creative input", "lol love this bitch", no matter how mediocre or shitastic it gets.

Wow, some artists should just gracefully bow out of that side of the creative process. Then again, terrible fonts seem to be a common theme among pop's biggest acts nowadays. Case in point:

I mean really, look at this shit. It burns my eyes.

I think the typeface is refreshing. In a world of highly over-produced album art it's kind of funny to see something that says "Hey, I'm shit. Deal with it".

Hmm, just looked at the GaGa cover, and I'm probably going to buy it online. :/

I'm praying for a DELUXE edition (that's not labelled so, obviously) with a much nicer cover.

I'm kind of hoping since Gaga removed the cover from her twitter that she's trolling us and the true cover will come out on Tuesday with the new Gagavision.

Let down, much like btw. Does she really think that she can just hype the consumer of 2011 into thinking her music is revolutionary? Just because she and her camp say so? It's obvious people's expectations are weighing on her and she's faultering. She couldn't play safer. Very formulaic.

While I like Born This Way and Judas, I really don't think it will ever top The Fame Monster. That album has so much soul, it's so amazing. And it's so short too.

It's growing on me. Still a fairly forgettable Bad Romance rehash, but it's better than BTW. Neither Judas or BTW are as good as her best material from The Fame Monster.

There's no way she doesn't know what she's doing with that cover. Hilariously awesome. Lobster mask 2.0 confirmed.

I think if I were a wildly popular artist I'd troll the world with exactly the same kind of thing. Spiky jockstrap with a lens flare, thighs smeared with body glitter. Magnifique!

Intentionally producing something bad doesn't change the fact that you've produced something bad.

I'm reminded of a TEFL course I attended where we had feedback on finding authentic material to give to students. One of the people on the course was unsure of whether or not to edit out lots of mistakes in the original material in order to keep it authentic - the instructor then replied that while, yes, keeping in mistakes means that the material is still authentic, it also means that it is authentically bad. (So, the solution is to find authentically good material.)

That album cover is hilariously bad.

This is where I stand.

Lady Gaga should never have hyped this album (though it's obviously working) or overworked herself; these singles are lacking in creativity.

Judas is worse than Born This Way. The video better be very creative/pretty or something to compensate, though unlikely since Gaga herself is directing it.

Horrible album cover too.

She should have spent a bit more time working on it all instead of rushing it to market.

It's a shame she believed her own hype. The Fame Monster was great because it was the realization of the potential of a few good singles on The Fame. Her live performance of Paparazzi at the VMAs was so memorable because it was unexpected. The Bad Romance video worked because it was believably odd.

This is just "look at me I'm crazy". Coming back so soon was a mistake. This is overkill. She should have waited a year or two.

Agree! I miss Vanity Fair Gaga with her big hats and immaculately applied lipstick. Crazy, emaciated Gaga is not that interesting to me. She's not even being weird anymore...just like self-absorbed. Like I was so hyped to see her get out of the egg and then she gets out in a yellow sundress. LETDOWN~~~~

I really don't need the moralizing from someone who told me in two great hits of hers that she needs/wants my disco/vertical stick.
