I never liked her music but I guess I could understand the appeal. But at this point shes turned into a parody of herself and her lack of creativity in her music is readily apparent to *almost* everyone. Still going to be a few idiots who keep their head in the sand.

Actually she spent half the show looking out of breath and yelling over a backing track.

Halfway through Telephone she just stopped pretending. Her ...dancing was amusing though.
 
Fuckin disastrous. I thought RedOne would be able to redeem her because like 99% of her songs worth a damn are his doing but if he's responsible for this then all is lost. Time to jump ship it was fun while it lasted...
 
So far I've enjoyed both songs, being as objective as I can and judging the songs individually. As far as them being Gaga's songs, they are not my favorites. But The Fame was such an outstanding album I think she has yet to outshine herself with that one. I still run through that track list as if she hasn't put out anymore music! Lol however, i DO enjoy The Fame Monster and her new songs aren't bad... I will still crank it up if I happen to hear it on the radio. I am anxious to see what her other songs sound like on her new album.

Are we listening to the same song? I swear my ears came. So good and a return to form, as Born This Way wasn't for me. Dancing to this song is just SUBLIME.

There's nothing wrong with the people expressing their dislike towards the song. In fact, it's healthy to have different views.

The problematic ones are the ad hominem trolls that popped up in the last page. The zoo seems to have returned them back to their cages though.

Well... That is what I'm talking about. Disappointment in the song I dont really care about. It is the people coming in the thread being trolls or harping on and on about things they have said a dozen times already.
 
Both of these songs are a significant step down from the stuff on Fame Monster.

Judas is probably slightly better than "So Happy I Could Die," but it's worse than every other song from FM.
 
Like the song better than Born This Way. Don't care much for the lyrics, but just as far as beat and melody etc. goes it's very catchy. You could say it's catchy in a slightly kooky/simplistic way, but really so was Bad Romance to me...I still remember lol-ing in my head with all the 'rah rah rah rah rah' stuff and thinking it was very infantile almost, but then...a few listens later I was hooked.

Never understood the ad hominem shit. Personally I don't care if she has a penis or not. A lot of the best music of all time was made by people with penises, so if she has one, I don't see what the big deal is. Gaga having a penis or not isn't the reason Born This Way sucked, although it may have had a role in the choice of a title.

She really needs some more subtle production at times- hearing some piano covers or instrumentals of her music, you realise how good some of the underlying tunes are. But her released versions have all the subtlety of a brick to the face. It can be kinda tiresome.
 
This song almost made me crash my car into the nearby driver who was listening to it. It wasn't out of anger because he was playing the song, it was just that the sheer shittiness of the song caused my brain to hemorrhage upon hearing it.
 
I guess my issue with this song and BTW is that she's taking herself way to seriously with the lyrics (I'm not sure it's the right expression :/). The songs in Fame Monster had pretty "fun" lyrics, nothing too serious and it didn't sound like she was heavily pushing her ideology onto the listeners.

On top of top, so far they're not nearly "dancey" enough for my taste, I just want something in the same vein as Poker Face or Just Dance :(

I agree with a lot of this. A major early criticism of Gaga was that the shallow lyrics of her songs were inconsistent with the serious message she claimed to be promoting in The Fame. The heavier lyrics of Born This Way and Judas are plainly meant to address this critique, and that's fine by me, but I think Gaga's in danger of overcompensating. I found a lot to like in the Born This Way video because I have something of a taste for kitschy narrative devices and wacky shit generally, but I can only stomach so much thinly veiled allegory. I don't want her music to become nothing more than a vehicle (a motorcycle, if you will) for her activism and religious beliefs.

I like Gaga's earlier songs because they're catchy as hell and don't make a big deal about themselves by whacking me over the head with a message. The Fame Monster in particular has a great sound; Zesty melodies with quirky twists that I find really memorable. If Gaga means include more serious material on the Born This Way album (in the same vein as the title song), I hope she'll balance it with plenty of lighter tracks. Government Hooker gives me hope. I think it's up there with some of the best songs on The Fame.

I'm absolutely in love with Judas. It's without a doubt Bad Romance 2.0, some parts of it nearly confuse me into singing BR.

I liked the last two, so a third catchy-as-fuck pop song would be pretty awesome, actually. I really dislike Paparazzi. But i can't see the similarity here.

Immigration law and gay marriage in that other upcoming song? Fuck, just sing about Telephones and Monsters, please.
 
I like Born This Way better. Judas's chorus is so flat I dont feel anything at all. I think it could've used more oomph but then it would've been quite similar to Bad Romance.

The verses are kinda cool because they remind of me of Rihanna.

P.S. Judas popularity is decreasing on iTunes already. Katy's ET will overtake the top spot again in the next 24 hours.
