LCD HDTV PC/360 connection suggestions

Just recenetly purchased a new 32" Samsung LCD TV. I plan on using the TV for 360 and PC gaming with some internet surfing as well.
As of now, the PC is connected to the TV using the VGA connections. The 360 is connected using component cables however I just purchased the VGA cables for the Xbox to take advantage of the true pixel ratio.
What do you think is my optimal setup?
The LCD has VGA, component, HDMI connections along with the normal Svideo and so on
Native resolution on the TV is 1366 x768

Since the TV has only 1 vga port, is a DVI/HDMI converter recommended for the PC
since my PC has both DVI and VGA?

Am I correct in assuming a VGA switch device would degrade signal quality somewhat?

I am trying to avoid disconnecting wires all the time when switching from source to source.
Any help is appreciated.

I dunno, I would have stuck with the component cables.

PC input will NOT work on a Samsung HDTV over HDMI (trust me, I know). And a good VGA switch with integrated audio will be quite expensive.

I got a $50 vga switcher at best buy that allows me to run the audio from my 360 into the computer's line in, then output that + the computer's vga to a single vga cable. I can switch between the computer and 360's vga by double tapping scroll lock. I can get sound from both at the same time.

One DVI to HDMI cable is very cheap, especially at eBay.

Buy one and try to use your DVI PC video card output on your HDMI TV input.

Agreed. I have a Samsung 32 inch lcd, and components with the 360 look great.

As for the PC not working over HDMI or DVI, why would that be the case?

I have thomson intuiva 27" with native resolution of 1280x720p
if you connect pc with vga cable you can set only 1024x768 if you set other resolutions like 1280x720 or 1366x768 you shall have problem with refresh , but with dvi-hdmi you can set a 1:1 resolution like 1366x768.

Infact with my thomson intuiva 27" i have dvi-hdmi cable and the resolution of my desktop is 1280x720p
