Legion go 2 leak

If it comes with an 80w battery and at least 24 gb ram I'm tempted to pull the trigger. Screen and detachable controllers makes it feel like a super sized Switch.

Some recent leaks and rumors:

• Getting it's own segment at IFA 2025
"Lenovo's IFA 2025 holding page indicates that it will be exhibiting new Legion and Legion Gaming products between September 5 and September 9 in Berlin."

Specs:

  • 8.8" OLED / 144hz VRR / 16:10 screen
  • AMD's Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU - RDNA 3.5 (a prototype was seen in the wild featuring the cheaper AMD's Ryzen Z2, so that might be an option)
  • 32 GB LPDDR5-7500 RAM (again pulled from the Z2 prototype, so this is subject to change)
  • Upgraded cooling system that draws air in from the back and vents it out through the top
  • Redesigned detachable controllers w/six programmable buttons
  • Power button w/fingerprint scanner
  • Optional dock
  • Price - somewhere between $1,049 and $1,099 (source)

Why do they gotta have useless buttons on the grip that have no purpose but to annoy players by pressing them accidentally? even if you program them to nothing, they are still annoying and take you out of the immersion.

How hard is it for these people to make a proper, normal controller ??

Can I put Steam OS on it?

I agree, just because you can dosen't mean you should. Correctly placed back buttons are god-sent but those side-buttons seems like you would accidentally press all the time.

Seeing as they're already been working with Valve to get SteamOS versions of previous devices I would think it's going to be supported ...at least down the line.

Legion Go 2 looks pretty interesting, but oof at that price with RDNA 3.5 and no FSR4.
