I just ordered another Minecraft and Medieval Market Village from S@H. Once that Palace drops, I think I'm going to go to the local store and get PetShop and Palace Cinema at the same time.

Alright guys give me the skinny on how to wash my ancient Lego bricks in the washing machine!! I DID read that apparently it is not really recommended to do this, but then i also read that some people do this all the time and it works just fine so...?
I assume i have to put them in a washing bag right? How about max. temperature, no spinning cycle etc?

Built the Fire Brigade yesterday. Looks really nice. Don't think I'm going to go modular crazy as this set does stand well on its own.
Obligatory "dat second floor" comment.

There it is... Finally! And it is a corner building! And it looks stunning!
The palace cinema looks fantastic.
Does anyone know where I can find the creator sonic boom set for a decent price?
Will buy. Makes my decision to purchase Diagon Alley over Grand Emporium feel like the right one.
I still have Gringotts to build of that set - really enjoyed the first two builds, though I hate how top heavy Ollivanders is. I'll have to put it onto a baseplate or something. It's even more of a shame considering how cool the interior is.
I'm also chock full of ideas of things to build, because holy hell does Diagon Alley provide you with a ton of windows. Those and the column bits from Gringotts are just begging to be put into a custom modular of some kind.
2 stormtroopers
2 speedbike troopers
4 clone troopers

On Eurobricks they are commenting that in the pic it looks like it comes with a red baseplate. Very interesting!
And also a lot of negativity about the set over there. Some valid concerns, such as "will the posters be printed or stickers," but others are just so nitpicky.
Someone said that this was their "budget modular" because it is so small and not the real modular for next year. Huh?

I'm worried the inside is going to look fairly bland given size restrictions.
I'm sure the interior is going to be pretty fantastic. Can't wait for more pics.
Now i am already wondering how the cinema would look all by ITSELF since i don't own any other modular buildings and this is really the only one that interests me hmmm

That is what I wanted to try with a MOC, but just didn't have the parts to pull off a building big enough to do that. Still tempted to try and do it now that I have more pieces. Go get a 48x48 plate and try it.For the interior, I'm guessing the bottom floor will be concessions, and top floor the theater. Though it would be nice if they managed a 2 tier seating area in the theater section.

After watching me have a ball putting together LEGO sets with my 5 year old for the past year, my in-laws went and dumped this on me for Christmas...

I haven't had my own LEGO sets since the original space line launched back in the late 70's/early 80's (I'll be 40 next year). I remember I had the first floating fire boat back in the day too as one of the first LEGO I owned.
Oh, what have they done to me...This won't be good. I can only pray this will be a one time thing. My wallet couldn't handle it. :|
That box front alone with most of the principal cast of characters is hitting me hard...
Where is the 2013 minimod though?
EDIT: I dont remember seeing this before, but on Toys N Bricks they listed the summer 2013 Galaxy Squad sets:
70705 Crater Creeper
70706 CLS-89 Eradicator Mech
70707 Hive Crawler
70708 Galactic Titan
Galactic Titan? That sounds like it could be a beast of a set!
I like it. Some of the most fun Mocs are the ones where there was no plan to it. Just sit down and build, build, build.LOL, i just threw this abomination together in about 20 minutes as my first MOC creation ever, so bear with me! I shall call it the "Hornet escort shuttle"
The insect look wasn't even intentional, not sure how it ended up looking like a Galaxy Squad reject shuttle
These were some of the 30+ year old Lego pieces i had as a kid, i washed em earlier (nearly busted my washing machine since the parts somehow crawled out of that damn bag i put em in) so i could give MOCing a go, not sure yet it's for me so i might stick to collecting and displaying sets.
Then again, i really didn't have much to work with here and didn't really have a "plan" so the next one might turn out quite a bit more sophisticated ;P
