Pretty much. Plus I'm thinking a lot of scalpers are going to get cold feet around the beginning of November and that's going to loosen up supply quite a bit. Looks like I'm going to try just driving down to BestBuy on release day to get one.(No luck with any online order.)

I hope there is a shit ton available and the low-life scalpers end up having to sell at a loss.

Oh well. I had a conference call that I actually had to run, so I couldn't begin to try until noon. No luck anywhere, so I'll wait until they come back in stock somewhere.

I know Amazon usually reopens several times during pre-order day as they know what allocations look like. So we'll see.

if not, I'm fine with just picking one up later.

Gutted that MS managed to screw this up and allow bots to scoop up practically everything. Especially after their stupid jab at Sony's preorders.

Maybe they referring to their own site, while it's buggy and crashing under load they limited sales to 1 per person and people (me included ) were able to get a console there. I don't really know what either Sony or MS could do to control how other retailers control preorders.

Got one on lock down from Microsoft store. First it kept giving me an error saying it can't ship to my country, site crashed for a bit but when it came back online everything was golden

Ordered an X. I'll say this, the $70 price on next-gen games has me re-evaluating whether I do want to subscribe to gamepass. It's looking like a better and better deal.

Don't think the Best Buy site is ever going to work. Will keep trying, but glad I was able to at least get an order in on amazon just in case.

I went back to the MS store, the X is still in my cart but it gives me an error when trying to checkout (which i can finally do). I assume they are sold out.

I was going to cancel my amazon order but bestbuy is too fucked up so I'll keep it and the 2 day delivery fee wanted the free release date delivery but oh well.

I think a captcha could at least down bots a bit. Luckily Amazon.ca finally put it up so I was able to get one. Still a shit show all around

Amazon wins. This was way more stressful than the PS5 one for me.
