Love mine so far (had it for 3 months) I say go for it.

I don't plan on using the modular feature as much, will most likely stick to the stock version of the phone.

Any ideas on what's different on the International version of the phone?

I would get it. In terms of raw specs, it is the best phone for that price. I do want to preface how crappy the headphone adapter is.

Yeah the only other phone that is available with similar specs around that price range is the One Plus 3 which retails for about $400 I believe. G5 is more of a "premium" phone I suppose.

Is this phone still worth it? Everyone says the Galaxy S7 is better but that's almost $200 more at this point.

I'd actually hold off on getting the G5 for right now. LG should be announcing the the release date and pricing for the V20 at any time now. I think its going to be a far better device than the G5 and it should still come in around a couple hundred less than the S7 Edge or Note 7.

Cracked the sh*t out of my S5's screen recently and was looking at the S7 or the G5. Buddy of mine came out of nowhere and offered me his G5 for $300, so I'm gonna take that. Just ordered a sim card cutter off of Amazon so I can upgrade without giving up my Verizon Unlimited Data Plan. Looking forward to taking wide angle shots with the camera!

If you can get one under $350 yes. At this point you can get a S7 under $450 though used.

I'd prefer the G5 over the regular S7 but I get quite a bit of use out of the replaceable battery so your mileage may vary there. If you can get it new for around 450 or less than it's still very much worth it. V20 looks nice too but that will be a lot more expensive.

Just wanted to say it's a nice lens, but the it's so wide most phone cases (if you use one) are visible on the edges of the frame. Not a dealbreaker or anything though.

Not having this problem on my Spigen case. You do tend to see your fingers a lot sooner than on the normal lens though.

So got a really good deal on this phone on a black friday sale and i gotta say im surprised this phone didnt get the praise it deserved.

The most unique feature i use on this phone the most in thr wide angle camera. Correct me if im wrong but this is the only phone in the market that has a decent wide angle camera.

I like the overall size of the phone. Not too big and nit too small. The IR blaster which surpringly i yse occasionally which is ankther feature other top smartphones don't have. Finger sensor on the back is great. The only flaw for me is the battery life isnt the best as it is a measly 2800 battery but the quick charge from the USB-C makes up for it.

The phone also came witb Cam Plus which im going to sell off as its useless for me as im okay using the phone to take pics without it.

It also comes with the DAC Amplifier and headphones. I am into music but im still unsure how niche this stuff is. I only have a Google Music account for listening to music and download at the highest quality but correct me if im wrong the music i listen to the amp abd headphones wouldnt improve the sound as it isnt lossless audio but only 320kps quality.

Anyways in conclusion the wide angle camera made this phone a winner for me. And its something other huvh end phones dont have such as S7 Edge, Pixel, iPhone 7 Plus and etc.

Since I upgraded to Nougot it seems I have had pretty good battery life and a slightly smoother experience.

Is this a placebo or anyone else going through the same thing.

I noticed the same (more on the smoothness than batter) and I like the subtle chances they did to the notifications.

So I was trying to find this thread (or the G4 OT) because I was wondering with the G4 significantly marked down is the G5 REALLY that much better? But then I find this thread about the widespread Boot loop issue and now I'm having second thoughts on either phone.

I have a G3 (on Ting for two years) right now, and aside from a couple minor issues (headphone jack won't work, bluetooth is finnicky with my car stereo) it's still working great.

I mostly got a G3 in the first place for its camera everything else was gravy, I'd also love to get that extra LG 360 cam for my New Zealand (and potentially other scenic locations) trips but I need at least a G4 for it.

Is either model phone still worth it?

I need a little help regarding my G5. Basically the screen is starting to lift away at the bottom right corner and I can see light bleeding through. The touch is not affected or anything yet and I have ordered a spigen case hoping that it will overlap the bezel a bit and kind of press it back.

Question is would I need a full screen replacement or would they be able to glue that area back down?
