I sure must have been. I’m retired but still do contracting and travel for the government, so I can be in and out and I go to a lot of places that do not have any infrastructure for the internet or TV as they are usually remote villages.

This site is pretty much the only place I go to on my phone and a news app that I have. I guess I missed most of it, but I do remember some commercials telling men they are toxic and thinking to myself it was just a fad that first world folks go through because they need to complain.

I didn't realize this had become such an issue, thinking there were just the same few guys out there that were on the softer side.

We just never talked about masculinity growing up and if you were a man, you grow up learning skills to help your family like hunting, fishing, ranching, working hard so your wife can be there for the family when need be, protect women and children, etc. This seems so out of pocket. It was just unspoken that you had to sacrifice for others.

This has nothing to do with male femininity. Good men are as they have always been - helping others, being considerate, and being able to punch stupid shitfuck in the face when needed. In a skirt or not.
I fucking cannot believe Brokeback Mountain showed the gay romance right TWENTY YEARS AGO, it all went downhill from there.

From what I’ve seen since the 1990’s there really aren’t many men that will stand up. Take a peak at what is happening in the U.K., North African countries, etc. The U.K. alone has let grown men gang rape women constantly over and over again to the tune I’ve never seen before in any country.

Even full Muslim countries will do something if they cannot look the other way and imprison or give the death penalty. We have free men in the west allowing little girls to be treated like DNA of scum and no one willing to punch anyone in the face, just turn around and walk away from what is being done.

Edit: sorry the U.K. I will tell you I have a different view on these things I suppose as I have no thoughts of self preservation in these matters. I removed most of a 50 year olds teeth in Thailand during operation cobra gold that we run every year with the Thais. I spent a year at Camp Horno in Camp Pendleton breaking big rocks into smaller ones calling another SSgt “yes sir, boss” on an actual chain gang and smiled the whole time even though it cost me money for my family and my rank was stripped. He walked out of a bar with a ten year old Thai boy and got taught a lesson. He was an American man.

So I may look at things differently.

Not taking advice from some silver spoon kid about masculinity. He is one of many soft techies in that industry that will mold themselves and their companies to fit in.

He wasn't self made and came from parents that were wealthy. He had time and money to develop on his hobbies.

His recent mid life crisis look is screaming early 2000's "I'm down with rap culture"

Trimming off the fat of D.E.I is the step in the right direction since that whole program didn't feel genuine.

The thing about term like masculinity and femininity is that both words mean different things to different people. And the traits associated with each can be good or bad pending the situation.

Also, the words take on a whole different meaning (often bad) if stereotyped to the extremes like masculinity means you drive a big rig for work and punch people in the face at bars, or femininity means youre a super sissy who wears pink clothes and giggles like a teenage girl.

In business, having masculine traits will succeed more than feminine traits because the nature of business is being aggressive to win sales analyzing numbers like a bean counter. You set aside more emotional motherly characteristics. You cant sit back and coast because competitors will eventually blow past you. It' similar to wheeling and dealing buying a car. To save some money you do research ad try to bargain with the guy mano-on-mano even though just about everyone hates to do it.

To think this fine, upstanding man of character is likely to be one of the apocalypse survivors in his mega bunker on Hawaii.

...What a World they'll rebuild in their image.

This is a great life hack. Bargain about everything, especially if it doesn't take much effort. When I buy something on online auction sites I pull out 20 listings, send them all half price offers. 18 reject, 2 accept.

I've only been to Asia once so I didnt know better and my bargaining was junk compared to what I knew after.

All I know is friends/coworkers who've lived there or know about buying shit there says whatever the peddler dude or old lady is trying to sell you, just counter offer right away at like -80%. After some back and forth, you'll probably end up getting it for like 60-70% off. Good enough and move on.

And here I was wheeling and dealing scoring 30% off thinking I did well. Even without knowing what friends told me, I knew I fucked up later because a lot of the shit sold is manufactured junk so when I was curious what other peddlers were selling it for when I was done shopping heading back to the subway, some other kiosk was willing to sell me it for 50% off right off the bat without even bargaining one word. LOL

Look at the shape of all media right now. He’s right, we need masculinity and hot women back. We let the LGBTQ crowd run amok since 2016 and shit has gone south.

What an absolutely terrible take. I would say real men are 100% not afraid of more women rights, they are confident enough in themselves.
The pic is not about women rights.

Women can have all the power and rights, they are still gonna call a "toxic man" when shit hit the fan for real, they are not gonna call the 50 kg soyboy that is scared of its own shadow.

Zuckerburg is on his PR-tour. Luckily even MAGA isn't putting up with his shit. The forst offender is Joe Roegan though, with how he allowed Zuckerberg to get away with his blatant bullshit on his podcast. It's was like a free PR-Propaganda excersize.

Rogan has always been like that, the guy has absolutely zero interviewing skills. He just lets his guests do a monologue.

Regarding Zuck - how beta you have to be to even MAGA crowd is not buying your spin?

Zuckerberg got into BJJ and doing a combat sport changes your mind fundamentally in some weird way. Obviously he's a snake but he's a different guy now than he was five years ago.

I don't think it's fair to blame Joe, he's nice to almost everyone. As for zuck, maybe he's more comfortable in his skin now, I don't know, but it will take another decade before I give him an inch.

I watched the Joe Rogan podcast and I'm pleasantly surprised by Mark's change. All he said made sense, even his explanation of why the 'sudden change' happens now. Even if the shift is calculated and money driven, I can't call it disingenuous or fake. Keep it up and I might get Meta Quest 3 instead of waiting for Valve Deckard :D
He did come off much more personable. His comment that "every sound bite was edited to make me sound like an idiot" may even be true.

Maybe we just need more folks to learn jujitsu :p

Rogan is a spineless moron that would never call someone like zuck out.

He was giving him a bunch of backhanded snark and Zuck knew it by his expressions.

He does it on purpose to get people to talk and talk and talk and talk. People will incriminate themselves if you act stupid and let them keep reexplaining.

Not very "masculine" of Joe, is it?
What does this even mean?

I'm not talking about the last thing he did, i'm talking in general, like whem he had the more plates more dates dude and he was playing absolute dumb about jones taking steroids.

I can only endure so much moronery.

Masculinity doesn’t need to take a back seat to inclusiveness
In it's current academic, political and corporate incarnation inclusiveness doesn't push masculity into the back seat. It actively pushes it out completely, if not openly fight against it.
I agree with you in your statement but it it's idealistic in nature. That's why things are snapping back.

This person was the reason i had to fire my cardiologist, my family doctor and several of my clients.
I refused to take the poison shot and they all ganged up on my citing the false bullshit about the whole thing.
Clients mandated to only wokr on their sites if i show proof of vaccination. Fuck you i am the boss not you.

And before you call me an idiot, i had mitral valve repair done 4 years prior and if anyone would have been at risk it would have been me but thank god i didnt take the shot cuz i already had pericardities after surgery a few times and i didnt want to get myocardities as some people around me and one employee who was 18 ended up in the hospital a day after he got the shot

Whilst there are some legitimate concerns about the COVID vaccine (eg myocarditis, pulmonary embolism), you should realise COVID infection can also cause these same adverse effects at a much higher risk.

We have now 4 years of data to disprove this.

Hard stop from here on with any covid bullshit comments.
I refuse to debate this topic.

Moving on.

And thank god i live in a conservative city where i was not terrorized with this shit for years and was able to keep my freedom

I'm happy for you to convince me otherwise. Please show me your hard data and proof.

If there is one thing I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt - the risk of cardiac mortality is higher with SARS-CoV-2 infection, versus, the vaccine.

And yes, the vaccine can increase risk of myocarditis and cardiac death. But the overall risk is still lower than actual coronavirus infection itself although there may be an elevated risk of myocarditis in younger men (with the vaccine).
