As reported by South Korean publication The Elec, the game and its recently released DLC Lies of P: Overture have now passed 3 million cumulative sales, taking all physical and digital sales on PC and console into account.
To celebrate the milestone, publisher Neowiz is rewarding the staff of developer Round8 Studio, as well as Neowiz's own Lies of P development team, with a number of bonuses.

All staff will receive a launch bonus of 10 million South Korean won ($7,300) earlier than scheduled, as well as two weeks of paid vacation (on top of South Korea's mandatory 15 days of paid vacation).

Every member of the Round8 development team will also get a Nintendo Switch 2 console as a reward for hitting the sales milestone.

Wait a sec, isn't paid holidays something all the world have? I mean Korea is totally not a third world country.

That is a good way to treat your employees.
Most western studios would just fire half the team as soon as they were no longer needed and the CEO would keep the money for himself and shareholders.

on top they would claim that the sales didn't meet their expectations and the sequel would receive needed GaaS elements

Man, I remember those days of treating staff on trips to things like Mykonos for meeting targets at my last business. We had silly margins back then.

It's 15-25 days of paid leave. Depends on how many years you worked. And it doesn't include the 15 official paid public holidays. So the real answer is 30-45 days legally required + these 2 weeks.

Brown Dust 2 is made by GAMFSN and published by Neowiz.
Lies of P is made by Round8 and published by Neowiz.

People going on about the paid holiday depends if they work shift etc they maybe only work so many days, for me I work shifts in uk and shift pattern I work u only get between 9-12 days u can use depending how long u been with company , but then again I work 12hrs so only do 4 days then have 6days off

I never said it's "A lot." But to say like it's nothing is ridiculous. Most European counties don't have more than 3 weeks either. Head out of rear.
Never said it was nothing. I just said that i wouldnt wanna work in south korea with 15 days of paid holidays.

Some european countries only have three weeks too or less?

How is that relevant? Unless you're trying to imply that i'm actually racist, i don't see how that's relevant to what i said. European countries that only have three weeks i wouldnt wanna work there either.

Don't know where you US guys are working --- but I get 4 - 6 weeks depending on how busy we are, and 2 weeks sick time that can be used for 'whatever'.

20 years in various companies in the US and that is pretty consistent.

Switch 2 could easily run this game

Would it Lui ? Raidou remaster, is only 1080p in docked mode with...the graphics being what they are.

Don't get me wrong, Lies of P looks like an upscaled XONE/PS4 era game at best (although running at 60fps) but an "easy" S2 port ? Don't know brother...🤔

lies of p is not a hard game to run. I would bet the switch 2 could run it at 60 too

There is no mandatory leave in US. Most companies to provide vacation time, but new employees usually start with like 2 weeks or it's combined paid time off that includes medical leave as well.

So yeah, compared to Europe it mostly sucks. Sure, if you have been in a coming for a while and it's a solid form, usually you would get to ~3-4 weeks vacation, but that's not a given.
