Life is Strange | Spoiler Thread

Mr. Jefferson has been giving me the creeps from Ep.1, but I never thought he would get this messed up!! I assume he has the whole thing going on with Nathan, he is definitely involved!

I'm starting to believe David was indeed trying to do the same thing we are, only with tougher manners.

Also, am I the only one who saw the whiskey bottle in the dark room and immediately though "THE FREAKING PRINCIPAL HAS THE SAME BOTTLE HIDDEN IN HIS OFFICE"?!?

I trust no one at this point. For crying out loud, I even think Rachel is alive lol

It's going to suck if only 7% of people get the good ending.

Damn game played me like a fiddle.

I guess when looking at things, he seems to be the only one without a stick up his ass or an axe to grind against someone else.

Holy shit. Have they both known about Nathan's hobby and have been covering it?

Police in their pocket and the school as well, it's possible.

The principal may be covering, but Jefferson has definitely taken a much more active role than just covering. Nathan texted Chloe to lure the girls to the junkyard where Jefferson awaited, they are totally a creep team. Worst part is that they have been doing it for a while. I wonder if Victoria's folder was a red herring or Max was their plan B...

Another question pops in my head: Max is dosed and captive, Chloe is dead, WHO ARE WE PLAYING AS DURING EPISODE 5!?!? :O
Hopefully Max will be able to find her way out of such a situation, her powers are essentially blocked :/

FUCK!

Something just came to my mind... with all this foreshadowing of the Prescotts "destiny" talk, spending serious money for a storm-proof bunker and all that...

Of course. They KNOW that this storm is coming. And Nathan, with his typical "fuck it" humor named the last Vortex Club party "The End Of The World Party".

Because he knows it...

Now we need to figure out why the Prescotts know of the upcoming disaster...

David seems to be aware, too. At least, considering his preparation (Max even made an observation that the person supplying the bunker must shop at the same place as David) and mindset for an apocalypse scenario.

I think David is really just paranoid and a control-freak.

However, if someone alive is able to save Max it's him. He's a surveillance freak, but he did realize that something horrible was going on at the school... and his behavior towards Chloe was likely just his way of keeping her from harm.

I just hope Max still gets to be with Warren, he's such a dreamboat.

Isn't there something in episode 3 about David and Nathan working together? I feel that would explain it... or if not David could be a lucky paranoid (which actually would fit his characterisation better, really)

My thought was it could be that the storm has happened in the past and it happens every 100 years or so - hence Nathan having to 'fulfil his destiny' but I can't help but feel we would have had more foreshadowing if that were the case. I'm thinking that someone (either Nathan's father or Jefferson) has to have the same powers as Max and is using their knowledge of the future so that they can rule the ashes after the storm.

There is one thing about Jefferson bugging my mind, but it is far-fetched as hell lol

We know he is crazy famous, but during our conversation with Victoria at the End of the World party, she mentions the photography world being brutal and competitive, to which Max replies that Mr Jefferson isn't and hasn't been like that and he is famous after all. Then we have his super fast arrival at the junkyard.....what if he traverses time like Max can do? He could have used it to become famous easily and surely by making every right decision, every single time. He could have also reached the junkyard at a point and rewind until right when Max and Chloe were there. And he could also know of the storm. As I said, hugely far-fetched, as most of my theories are lol but I kinda feel like we may encounter another time rewinder.

Samuel's conversation had a lot of "time" in it as well.....I am suspecting everyone!! I even think Samuel may be hiding Rachel, if she's even alive and he's even good xD (he had fashion magazines and a female-ish scarf)

I dunno...

He left right after he handed Victoria the microphone, right? So he obviously got a head start.

The Warren hate is getting kind of ridiculous.

I have to admit that I was wrong about Warren. I loved every kick and punch he gave Nathan (actually I felt a bit sorry Nathan with how pitiful he sounded and mainly did it to keep the gun from him although that evaporated as the episode went on).

Does anyone know what happens if you select the "I don't know" option for the euthanasia scene? I had to refuse, too many feels

It loops back to accept and refuse. No escaping the hard decisions :(

I knew that Jefferson was no good. I wouldn't be surprised if his real last name is Prescott. Also, I think Nathan was probably coerced into helping Jefferson.

Of course the cover album of the End Of The World club song has a blue butterfly on it.
(It's the fourth song, Got Well Soon)

Also, War Room Stories... Dark Room Stories? xD

Have to mention Chloe's voice acting when they discovered Rachel's body. Ashly Burch did a phenomenal job in conveying Chloe's shock and devastation. Dontnod has nailed the presentation of the game.

You should be right to, Samael is the archangel of death, whereas Nathaniel literally means Given of God. Nathan is just doing God's work, sacrificing those virgins (except for Victoria, that whore, but then she didn't die either). While Max' transgressions are obviously harboring in a biblical deluge.

I might be over thinking things.

After what Warren did in Episode 4, he deserves AT LEAST a kiss.

Also, I think him being drunk at the party was an act. That guy is on to something.

Holy shit at the results ratio for Chloe's euthanasia. Currently 52% for yes, 48% for refuse. I was in the minority, but stared at the screen for about half an hour before choosing.

Same thing with the scene where Warren beats the shit outta Nathan. Both scenes were really tough decisions for me, as I rewound them multiple times. Man, that was a hard one, but Warren gave the due one too many blows to the head to let that one lie. Holding him back was more for Warren than Nathan, even though I couldn't see Nathan turned into a bruised pulp. I also couldn't pull the plug on Chloe. I'm not going to assist anybody in a suicide..

That ending though; phew I'm pissed. If possible Mr. Jefferson is gonna get punted into that tornado. Episode 5's wait will be excruciating.

On a side note, did anybody get into Nathan's phone before it locked? I goofed it up by messing around with random numbers before I started trying...

That's not how this works. A girl is not obliged to pay anyone with her body for saving her. He deserved that hug and the selfie though.
I also doing my best to not get Warren x Max in the end. Go, get Brooke.

The fate of the world will depend on one of your selfies.

DONTNOD enabling selfie culture smh

She has become a very talented voice actress. Her performance is really crucial to why I like Chloe as a character I feel.

I can't believe I didn't put the board back in front of the bird nest, I got a text from Joyce showing the bird nest had fallen and the eggs broke.. :(

giphy.gif

I could of SWORE I fucked up by both letting the bird out and putting the board back. I figured that I let the bird out and closed the window thus not allowing it to tend to it's eggs. Then I put the board back so no one could see the eggs and take them outside.

Happy I was correct after the fact.

I burst out laughing when I realised I was going to be allowed to decide how badly Warren was going to kick the shit out of Nathan.

I do you guys feel about going back and supporting David a little bit more? Especially in the fight with Chloe.

What with the way Chloe acts around her family, she's as terrible a stepdaughter as he is a stepfather. Anyway, I "supported" David in the sense that I thought it was a terrible time to call him out on his shit before we had the full picture (because he had the potential to be a valuable resource). Dude is overly paranoid, but in this case he's goddamn right to be. Were it not for his crazy stalking for those he found suspicious, we would not even have the complete picture we did in Episode 4.

And he's right: two girls, barely adults, one with a gun and one with time traveling powers, charged headlong into the truth, and the ending of Episode 4 just goes to show how unprepared they were for it.

After reading the prediction that Jefferson has time powers too I can't stop picturing what will happen in episode 5 without seeing him as Dio and Max as Jotaro. Full costumes and all. Yes I've been watching too much JJBA.

He is still an ass but I might go back and not sign the petition but I am not sure if it happens anyway or if it even matters and I think David gets suspended and goes to the hotel no matter what happens?

Well, Kate's alive in my game, and I signed the petition (he doesn't know if you did or not anyway).

Anyway, he doesn't get kicked out of the house if you support him in his argument with Chloe, and you have the option of dialogue with him when he's in his man-cave. He is grateful to you for speaking on his behalf, and buys your lie about where you were headed off to (as in, he knows you are lying, but won't press further). Also a few tidbits about how he had a potential contract for setting up surveillance cameras in the Prescott's home (I suspect that it was a front for him doing his own investigation of the place). You steal his keys by fucking with the fuse, exiting to the door in the hallway, then circling back to his workbench while he messes with the box, then rewinding. Was pretty much the only moment in the episode when I felt like a true time ninja.

I did notice the whiskey bottle but I remembered that jefferson and the principal are both seen drinking iirc

I definitely need to go back and explore different things.
