That ending blew me away. It was not what I expected at all.
I wonder if it'll somehow just be a dream? Or maybe they'll back out of it somehow? It'd really change things up, especially with the whole Rachel Amber disappearance being the focus thus far.
animals are still dying.
I'm assuming that if you're in this thread right now, you've finished episode 3, because WHY ARE YOU HERE IF YOU HAVEN'T. I'll tag potential spoilers from the episode 4 teaser, but not anything from episode 3. You've been warned.
If you stayed until after the credits (is it even possible to skip the post-credits scene?)it seems pretty clear that they find a way to reset. Max is wearing her old clothes again, not Rachel's outfit nor her Vortex Club outfit. That actually kind of makes me sad because it undercuts the ending, though I'm sure you'll spend at least some time in the new timeline.
One thing that makes the game a little odd is how Max's abilities seem to be changing very subtly. Unless I'm remembering the old episodes incorrectly (and I very well might be) this is the first episode that relies on you being able to position yourself somewhere and then rewind time so that you're in the same spot physically, even though at that point in time there's no way you could've been there. This episode contains two such sequences at least, and it's a little weird that Max's ability to retain information she sees before rewinding has now extended to objects and places she interacts with. Don't know if that's intentional (no one in the game ever seems to comment on it) or if it's sloppy game design on Dontnod's part.
Also: 80% of you kissed Chloe? Horndogs. I especially like the response Chloe gives you if you don't. (Dear Chloe: Yeah I did.) Overall, a really well done episode. I will say the ending was pretty predictable once Max jumps into the photo timeline (and especially once they show Chloe's birthday present).
Oh yeah, what the hell is up with all those dead birds in Chloe's backyard? Creepy.

Im surprised the majority of people stole from the handicap fund
So saving Chloe's dad is the only outcome right? Because if not I seriously fucked up.
if anything, the signs point to Max being Rachel - same clothing sizeI hope I'm not the only one who was expectingThat'd have been even more fucked up.Chloe to look like Rachel at the end.
that was already in the first episode, when you dodged the rock and trees in the forestOne thing that makes the game a little odd is how Max's abilities seem to be changing very subtly. I think this too. Rachel only showed up in Chloe's life after Max left, and then she disappears before Max comes back. It's like Max went back in time and lived out her life with Chloe as Rachel.if anything, the signs point to Max being Rachel - same clothing size
The game really, really, really wants me to like Chloe and I still can't stand her. In fact, I think she was even more irritating in Episode 3. It'll be interesting to see how the changes to the timeline affect her and the entire town. I'm still having a good time, even if the writing is rarely subtle.
This episode in particular lost any real subtly and there is a lot of clumsiness. I like Chloe but she is damaged and I have a thing for damaged chicks lol
The writers are walking a fine line with Victoria, mostly making her awful but occasionally glimmers of humanity pop out. They don't even bother with people like Nathan and David, who are both pieces of human garbage. I wish they'd lower the histrionics a tad because it's hard to take the characters seriously when they're depicted so broadly.
I don't really think that's confirmation given Max could change her clothes and she's a member of the Vortex club; it would make more sense that she would get into the party in her current reality. I could see the player having to make a choice about which reality ends up being the cannon one.
I'm really interested in seeing how Chole's portrayed in the next episode because having a realistic portrayal of a disabled person in a game would be rad. The handicapped are probably the least represented in gaming and when they are their disability tends to play no role e.g. crazy future tech makes them super strong cyborgs.
I saw that same graffiti in the parking lot of the diner; should make for a good fast travel spot.
Speaking of the kiss, Chloe pulled away before it landed though I've seen a pic of the kiss actually connecting. Just a fake or did anyone else get the kiss to connect?
I hope this doesn't effectively make all our choices pointless.
WTF is up with that ending! :O
Also Lol at the 80% making Max kiss Chloe xD Screw Warren.
She double dared me, I pretty much had to.

Chloe though, more going on with Rachel than she lets on. Her freak out on the RV cements it. I think she likes girls, but is really just friends with Max.
She clearly had a thing for Rachel Amber, but carries around more condoms than you'd expect for someone who is only into girls.
Oh does she? I must have missed that.
