This thread is certainly going some interesting places.
Hopefully episode 5 comes out soon.
I think it's pretty obvious she's going to travel back to that photo of her and Warren outside the vortex party. They made it really obvious because weird ass Warren wouldn't stfu until I stopped and took a picture with him.
Shouldn't be too far away. The main menu after selecting a save now states that Episode 5 is coming soon.

So, anyone here think we're actually going to see Rachel Amber alive in any form before the end?

Every time I watch a play through of this game, I cringe slightly whenever that moment in the game arrives when Max is at the Vortex Club Party and every single character she interacts with notes how "intense she looks," and because the games graphics are rudimentary, it doesn't even appear like that. Always puts me out of the atmosphere of the game at this point in the game.
Anyone else think this?
Yeah going by the previous release dates:
Episode 1 30 January 2015
Episode 2 24 March 2015
Episode 3 19 May 2015
Episode 4 28 July 2015
I think it's pretty say to safe Episode 5 will be coming at the end of the month.
The week of the 4th in October would be iconic. That is the same week as the Vortex Party, and would give us a ten week gap from episode 4. Works for me.
A lot of the interactions with minor characters are kind goofy and weird in Episode 4 in general. Way too wordy and gushy about each other.
I assume they are meant to serve as goodbyes to some of the cast, as they probably won't appear in Episode 5, but it was still jarring to see Max tell Person X how they're so amazing for the third time.
http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2015/0...fe-is-strange-is-the-greatest-honor-2/166374/[Hardcore Gamer] Let’s jump straight into this: how did you become involved with Life Is Strange? Was there anything that vividly stood out from the audition?
I did performance capture for the twin sisters Iris and Rose Campbell in Murdered: Soul Suspect. The company who cast me for that game called me to audition for the role of Max Caulfield last July.
I remember the audition like it was yesterday. I was in the middle of an emotional breakdown and really struggled to make it into the Blindlight office to read for Max. I hadn’t eaten and my stomach was growling like crazy while we recorded. I did my best, but I was in such poor spirits that I was convinced I had done a terrible job and ruined the audition. I was crying like crazy on the drive home! When they emailed me with an offer for the role, I was stunned and overjoyed. Having the ongoing job of Max’s voice became an amazing life raft for me to cling to while I was navigating the tricky waters of depression and the loss of loved ones earlier this year.
How do you prove to someone that you have rewind powers?
I know Chloe was so enthusiastic about Max's rewind powers in Episode 2, and when Max did her tests at the diner, Chloe was very willing to accept the results of those tests and conclude she has rewind powers.
But from Chloe's perspective, is it rational to conclude Max can rewind during that scene? What Max is doing looks supernatural but I think it would be more rational to conclude she can read minds or is omniscient...
Max told her what her powers were. Straight up. She proved she had supernatural powers in some capacity. There's zero reason for Chloe to believe Max is lying about the exact mechanism by which she proved her abilities.

Ah, that's a really good point.
I love to think about this specific point though. I think that Chloe and Max's special relationship help so much - as you say there's zero reason for Chloe to ever think Max is lying.
I still think on a fundamental logical level, it seems like it is literally impossible to prove without a doubt to say, a stranger, that you have rewind abilities.
A wide spectrum of people seem to say "Rachel????" when they see Max - Joyce, random trucker, Frank, even Nathan Prescott. Makes me sad to think she's gone.
It wouldn't be the first time the dates have aligned between LiS and real life:
Oct 10th, 2013 was the day the Vortex pool party was on.

Why do you guys think Natan was in the picture with Rachel?
His eyes are open, so I don't think he was knocked out.

Unless the game is deliberately trying to make it seem like the Prescott's is this whole fucked up family and that in the end it's just Jefferson using this as a cover, I'm pretty sure Nathan is also part of it, including his father. I'm sure the photo where he seems knocked up with Rachel is role play on his part. Those messages/letter that seemed to be from Nathans dad seem to actually be Jefferson so at the very least he knows about Jefferson. Nathan seemed to be drugged in that photo too so I don't know what to think.
I picked Jefferson because I concluded that he was presented way too innocent at the time, the game pushed so hard for the other two, so I picked him. There were only minor deviations, he didn't seem to take it too hard that I fucked him over. Didn't stop him from doing what he did.so when you decide who takes the blame for what drove kate to try killing herself, you had to pick between nathan, david, or mr jefferson.
if i picked jefferson, how would the outcome on episode 4 be? im sure itll be trhe same but would there be more interesting dialog that would make you think like jerfferson is in it? because holy shit that came from left field
Is it confirmed Rachel is in the plastic bag?
They did not open it, and I don't think it's the smell they recognized...
Not confirmed, but there was most certainly a dead decaying body in the position they saw Rachel in the photo...so the only possibility that it is not Rachel is that the killer placed a dummy body there to fool the people who would know to look. Narratively that would be a big jump to make, so I choose to believe that was here, and Rachel Amber is dead.
Although, this is still a game about time travel, so theoretically something could happen to magic her back.
October 20, 11 more daysEvery time I see this thread jump up, I hope for news on the release date of Ep5.
Crap.
Interesting interview with Hannah Telle
