Apparently Lohan spoke of 'cutting a commerical for iPod Radio' in a recent interview. Don't know how true this might be, but the Mac sites are all biting.

Between 15-minute email checking intervals, almost 100 of you wrote in to tell us about a television interview this evening in which the famous actress and pop musician Lindsay Lohan talked about having recently cut an advertisement for Apple's new "iPod Radio."

We missed this, and lack any confirmation whatsoever, but Brian Kortmeyer writes that the Access Hollywood TV show may have had an iPod scoop:

The sister of Lindsay Lohan announced on Friday's show that she just finished a commerical for the iPod Radio. This I believe will be the name of the next iPod Flash model due Tuesday. She stated the iPod comes out next week... so, it's a done deal... There you have it! Apple iPod Radio 1Gig.

Update:
Although we share the incredulity of many readers upon hearing that Lindsay Lohan had apparently cut an ad for some kind of new Apple iPod, it now turns out that at least two other well-known musicians were approached for these commercials and recorded footage to be used for them.

Apple's advertising apparatus has been in a state of maximum overdrive for weeks now, so musicians making new iPod ads isn't by itself a shocking revelation. It's that darned word "radio" that keeps coming up....

Apple usually does promo videos with various celebs/singers/etc -- at the Macworld keynote and later on the website there's always a "testimonial" video with Apple staff introducing a product and various people talking about how cool/life-changing/etc it is. Lindsay Lohan's an odd choice though, they're usually people like Seal

Satellite Radio would be a real coup for apple. That would bring a whole new spin to the iPod line and further distiguish themselves from the other guys. Alot of iRiver fans were hoping they could include satellite radio to help gain some market share away from apple. Should be an interesting 24 hours until we finally find out the REAL news.

Heh, I mis-read the rumour and it only says "radio" I jumped the gun and thought satellite right away. You're all correct, it'll probably only be FM.

No chance on the G5 PowerBook I'd say. For a start all the rumours point to G4 update (doesn't Apple's timetable say summer for a G5 PowerBook?), and secondly a G5 PowerBook would probably blow everything else in the show away -- too much stuff for one keynote. Don't forget they need to show off iLife '05 + GarageBand Breakout Box, iWork(s), Tiger and the 5GB iPod mini too!

I believe Q4 2005 was the estimated time for a G5 Powerbook. Can't wait for that puppy! Also, if this iPod Radio uses Sirius... damn, I'd be sold.

I hate how fucking fast models are superseeded. I blame Apple.
Right now Creative has a prototype 'Zen Micro Photo. ' :lol @ those who bought a Zen :\
At least Rio seems to have stability in the release of their models.
