I tend to mistrust people (especially junior members) who say NOT to change the MTU setting to 1437 when setting up PS4 Internet Connection.

First time I tried it to log in after, I manually entered my pw (main PSN account) on PS4 and successfully signed in.

Because having an extra word beside "member" makes them liars.

Coincidentally, Sony Pictures just sent my wife a long letter apologizing for their unrelated breach and signed her up for free identity protection. I wonder if we will get any sort of apology for these debacle. I understand DDoS is hard to mitigate, but some nice words from Sony would go a long way with some consumers.

Probably. My cousin couldn't get his xbo to go online today, but he's at my house now and it connected on the first try. He can't connect now so maybe it is regional. Both ps4s are good right now.

Idk if anyone has encountered my problem yet but when I tried to launch any digital games after the hack it kept telling me that I wasn't connected to live. I don't know how it thought i wasn't on live since I was in an xbox live party. I spent all day trying to figure out how the hell am I suppose to play my games? Apparently holding LT+RT+Y refreshes the dashboard and after about 3 times doing it I was allowed to play again.

PSN was up last night in JP while NA was sleeping. Got into Destiny, hit Xur, completed some dailies, and even picked up a purple drop.

Adjust your PS4s network settings manually (the MTU part), though, I wouldn't bother.

Pretty safe to say the "evidence" this MTU trick works is dubious at best. I can get signed in but there are other issues still with online games being unavailable. This is beyond the control of our local network settings.

i can see my friends...some of them i can see are playing online games (Destiny for example)...store works just fine, loaded instantly, and i was able to "purchase" Injustice from the store...its downloading pretty slow, but its downloading...

CoD just says that the "Advanced Warfare Services are not available at this time..." yadda yadda yadda...

I bought Alien: Isolation on sale through the store 2-3 hours ago, and was able to sign in through Dragon Age: Inquisition to import my world state and start my second run through. No problems since and no MTU workaround required, either.
