I installed setpoint software but i still cant use these buttons in games. Application button takes me to the desktop and out of the game. Also whats the best settings for games? Do i turn acceleration off?

Map the buttons to generic buttons. I remember having this problem. I think they are called generic buttons at least. I don't care for that apps button at all either. It's best left not doing anything IMO.

I don't think you can use the left right scroll in games either, but I am not sure. I really don't care for that feature of the mouse. Thankfully, it can be ignored.

I don't have that mouse, but I set my mouse's center button to enter, so I can cut and paste stuff (like URLS mainly) without touching a keyboard, but games all see it as enter and not another button. It pisses me off. Custom windows configs shouldn't carry over into games.

I don't remember if I am using acceleration or not.

What game settings in particular are you talking about? Mouse smoothing and crap like that? I think I usually play it by ear and try different things on a per game basis.

I think I have acceleration off on my mouse now that I think of it.

I'm not at home, so I can't give you the best of responses right now.
