Anybody else watching these on BBC America?

For the uninitiated:

Look Around You is a retro-styled science show, a bit like cable in the classroom or 321 Contact! The difference is that the science is all wrong. Very funny.

Starring Peter Serafinowichz aka Pete from Shaun of the Dead.

Black Books is a sit-com about the drunks that run a used book store. At first glance, the episodes seem standard comedy fare, but there's an off-beat streak that eventually unravels in every show. Worth watching.

Starring Dylan Moran aka David, the guy who got his guts torn out in Shaun of the Dead and Bill Bailey aka Bilbo from Spaced.
Black Books

Fellow afficianados, feel free to fill in the blanks.

I should swoop up the DVDs, fuck off BBC America!

I've been watching Series 2 of Look Around You, not as good as the first!

Look around you is based on 70s/80s Childrens educational TV in the UK. If you grew up with that (as I did), its even better. BBC2 is currently showing a new series of 30 minute shows, gently lampooning science show Tomorrow's World - again from the late 70s/early 80s.

Little nugget, Look around you is co-written by a guy who commissioned Black Books and Spaced while at Channel 4.

omg new episode today for look around you, totally forgot! I wonder if Nicholas is in it...

..he's supposed to make a cameo in this series.

I only have one episode of Black Books (because a certain someone is in it), and it was pretty funny, I like Bernard's attitude. FECK OFF, I'M DRUNK CANT YOU SEE.

Look Around You series 1 was genius, well worth picking up the DVD.

Series 2 is watchable but not a patch on the first. And what the fuck are they doing with that CGI door thing!

This makes a lot of sense. There seems to be quite a bit of interconnectedness between Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Black Books, Look Around You, League of Gentlemen, etc.

One of these days I'll attempt mapping the whole incestuous affair.

I've only watched the first Look Around You of this season. While I do like the premise, I found the show itself a bit flat.

Black Books is wonderful though.

Yeah, as a teenager. But still, woah. Creepy.

He's the Ed clone in Shaun.

He's also the voice of the Cobbles patient!

See how I turned that on-topic?

Not wanting to take it off topic again, but is Peep Show being shown over there? Definitely one of the best comedies on at the moment.
