Having a hard time using my New 3DS XL without worrying about messing the thing up. I wanted to get a protector for the handheld and the top screen. Looking for some suggested brands when it comes to these types of products. I've had my eye on these two item on ebay handheld protector and this screen protector. Anyone here use these types before?

Those shells always feel real flimsy to me. They usually don't latch on right and there'll be gaps and creaking. I don't like 'em. Besides, it's not like the 3DS is super expensive gear that needs to be protected from any and all bumps or scratches. I'd say just learn to let go of that stuff man. The plastic can take it. Adds some character too.

Now, protecting the screen I understand. It's annoying when there's scratches and stuff on there, it distracts from whatever is happening on the screen. My 2DS just has a Hori protector on the touch screen to add a bit of protection for when they stylus starts prodding it. I was able to pick up a bunch of 'em for cheap on Play-Asia so I could waste a few if dust ended up under it. That was a while back though.

Fair warning regarding top screen protectors: it’ll distort the 3d effect regardless of the model or game. If you dont care for 3d then i would just buy a 3ds starter skit that includes the screen protectors along with a carrying case and other things (though in this day and age youll likely need to buy that stuff at either amazon or gamestop. Target maasy have some but i doubt walmart does anymore. Mine certainly doesnt.)

That said, theres not to many shells/armor that feel natural or as good as playing it raw, the 3ds is not ergonomically like a phone which melds well even with a case.

Its a Majora's Mask XL model. Thinking of packing it away and just getting a 2DS XL that can take a beating. I lucked out with this one. It has an IPS top screen and I'm really enjoying DQVIII on it. It sat for years but I got the itch to play some DQ games.

i have 2 3ds, normal and XL... the XL i dont put a screen protector xD because i hack it.

i suggest like everyone say… just buy if you can the most cheap… i suggest dont buy Nintendo Screen protector because is insane expensive, The ítem that you put in eBay i think is ok.
