what? ;__;
That's what I don't get, we have people complaining that the make-up doesn't change jgl at all, and we have people confused and not even recognizing JGL. come to a consensus people!

Did they just give him a prosthetic nose? Can't see any other changes except the eye brows and hair style.
From a 2008 episode of HIMYM:
WHAT. Holy shit. Is this for real? Is the clip online?
Ha, it happens all the time on reruns. If you looks closer studios replace ads in the background with current movies.
But for this movie, it's oddly fitting.

HOLY SHIT THIS MOVIE.
More to come.

Is the last act as horrible as I remember?
How do you feel about the trailers so far, Expendable? They made the movie seem very muted, formulaic, and even like something that'd get a 55% on the tomatometer. All impressions point to the opposite though.
Kind of reminds me of Source Code.
Yeah, this was fantastic. I did love Brothers Bloom (and Brick, but less so), but here Johnson's vision feels much more complete, taking you on a ride and rarely letting up the pacing. He always keeps you guessing, but adds a surprising amount of heart and instead of being needlessly complex, you're just along for a wild time.
The movie is also brutal in both sound design and with Johnson's editing. There is some insane stuff just completely accentuated due to how well the film is crafted with such a singular vision. Willis is fantastic, JGL is good. There's so, so, so much to talk about but I really don't want to say more since it could lead to major spoilers. Can't wait to discuss this with GAF, they are going to lose their shit.
Not at all, loved it. It's very different from the first two acts, but I appreciated it. What didn't you like about it?

Any chance this could become a wild card best picture nom? Like District 9 was to an extent?
You didn't think the mutated abilities aspect of the film seemed completely unneeded and almost like a plot point from another film idea the filmmaker had but decided to hamfist into Looper?

Last time travel movie with Willis, 12 Monkeys, was a waste of 2 hours. I'll be keeping an eye on this though. Can't go wrong with JGL!![]()
Expendable hype? *thinks back to Cap Amer and MI4* Hmmmmm............
any sign of a nora zehetner cameo?
No, did not see her in the film.
This has much more going on upstairs. I still standby my love for those films though, UNTIL THE DAY I DIE.
I was indeed pleasantly surprised at how exceedingly competent MI4 was.Yeah, not sure what Solo is getting at MI4 was awesome. Captain America on the other hand though...not so good.
More violent than District 9? That film was basically people exploding for 1,5 hours.
Fixed that for you.Verdict: Holy shit, it threw me for a loop.
District 9 may have more violence, but Looper is a bit more effective. Also, there are some plot points that are thoroughly disturbing and dark.
This, there was a moment when my jaw was on the floor
SPOILER
the bit in the farmhouse with the gatman...holy shit

I've only read the script but are you talking about the scene wherethey cut off the dude's limbs in the future, and the effects appear in realtime on a later incarnation of himself within the film?
