THE ISLAND WAS REAL.
It was the X-Verse that was the afterlife.
So, in the real world we had Lapidus, Miles, Richard, Kate, Clair and Sawyer flying off to civilization. Did they make it? Who knows?
Hugo was left in charge of the island. Who knows how long his reign was?
But, once again:
THE ISLAND WAS REAL. THEY WERE ALIVE ON THE ISLAND.
I know. I thought, fuck it's over. I can't believe it's over. Amazing show, awesome ending. god damn.Iron E Man said:That last LOST title screen got me good

Zeliard said:We're really getting down to semantics now. They were basically "waiting" on that island, and they had to die there to go on to "heaven". The alt timeline was essentially the bridge (or is "heaven" itself). The island was purgatory (notice how Michael is still stuck there). Outside of the island was the real world.
I don't mind it. It's fine. But that's what it pretty much is.

A true hero.
No it wasn't. The entire flash sideways is purgatory, that's where they all came together and that's why only the people there to the very end were there. The island was as real as the world around it.Zeliard said:We're really getting down to semantics now. They were basically "waiting" on that island, and they had to die there to go on to "heaven". Guessing he was hoping to do it one day, but at least bring the Rousseaus with him when they were ready.Plinko said:So, Ben wasn't dead yet--which is why he didn't come into the church?
Puncture said:No, the stuff on the island was real life man. ONLY THE FLASH sideways was anything other than absolutely real.
There are no semantics, only your misunderstanding.

Clearly Hugo and Ben died, but well after Jack.

Ben was dead, he wanted to live in the alt-timeline with Rosseau and raise Alex - most likelyPlinko said:So, Ben wasn't dead yet--which is why he didn't come into the church?
