There's so much cool stuff they could've used beside fucking Senet.

I mean, the fucking Hatch!

I hope that episode guide is more of a coffee table book. That'd be awesome.
Yea, aside from Senet and the blacklight (wtf, how lazy is that), everything else in the box set is sweet. Map of the island!

Oh man! This just hit me, tell me what you think.

So, something that kind of bugged me was that Jack showed little concern for Claire after their initial meeting and conversation.

But, in LA X, we see Jack purposefully reaching out and comforting Claire. Something they didn't have going on on The Island.

I'm thinking he felt guilt over not becoming close to or protecting Claire.

That works for me, seeing as, like I said, it bugged me.
That's precisely how I saw it. They both regret not getting the chance to bond as siblings when they were alive.

so what's the deal wit hthe box Christian left of Claire/Jack X?
Originally, Claire said that Christian used to sing "Catch a Falling Star" to her when she was little. But, in the sideways, she said she never met Christian.

The song in the box (plus the mirror) was a subtle nudge from Christian, getting Claire to reflect on her past life.

It better at least come with the rules to play senet. I know that the original rules are long lost, but proposed, playable rules have been made.
Silly Whispa, you make up your own rules!

A special full length episode will be included on the S6 DVD. It well the story of Dr. Artz who with the help of friendly school janitor Caesar, roam around LA X "waking up" their fellow redshirts-- none of whom Desmond could be bothered with. Special appearances by Bram, Frogurt, Nikki & Paulo, Joanna and everyone's favorite ambigously indentifiable duo Scott & Steve, just to name a few. As they all converge at a Hooters Restaurant on Martin Luther King BLVD will these people be able to come to terms with their meaningless & doomed existences on the Island and find the strength to let go...together..?

Woah, it's like an allegory for the show.

I can just imagine the non-fans who pick up the set just looking at the Senet game with a huge "WTF" look on their faces :lol .

Not to mention all of the characters on the front of the book they won't recognize for like, 4 seasons.

LOST Complete Collection (Blu Ray) is $195 on Amazon... I don't own any of the seasons right now, so I'll be there day 1.

$195 is actually a great deal for six seasons... just $32.50 per season. It's 36 (!!!) Blu-Ray discs.

I gotta say though... what cheesy-ass packaging. The packaging actually makes me NOT want it, and tempts me to buy each season individually. Reminds me of the Batman head and Iron Man head my TDK and IM Blu-Rays came in. Those things are TERRIBLE. I would rather pay a premium to not have to get my movie in one.

It's good to see there's a standard slip case inside the bigger case... I can just put that on the shelf.

Really? I like the outside packaging, not so much the Senet game.

Should have been Backgammon..
Even that would've been dope. Anything! Senet? the fuck outta here.

The texture on that box is cheesy and straight up ugly.

Shoulda went with a classy black and white design.

How's the Lost Blu-Ray transfer?

Pretty incredible. The colors and details of the island setting jump out so much, it's beautiful. I watched season 3 straight through on Blu-ray and was consistently wowed.

The best I've seen since Avatar. And they're full screen. Absolutely amazing.

Season 4 and 5 especially have great detail in shots of scenery ( mountains, where Faraday and co. meet Richard in 1950, for instance).

The overhead map of the island is pretty ace, I admit. But the rest of it seems pretty dumb. The worst offense is that it is designed to not stand upright, in a standard DVD case. Who has the shelf space for that thing to sit flat like that?

Maybe it's just because I've been going to E3 for ~8 years now, but I am just completely over little baubles and extras of this type. The just clutter up your house (& your life) until you throw them out after 5-10 years.

Rather than $195 for this set, allow me to pay $160 for just the complete collection discs (since I believe there are 1-2 discs exclusive to the big box set).

Edit: To the dude that has seasons 1-5 already, just trade them on Goozex, then buy the complete collection.

Beautiful.

My first viewing of S4 was on Blu-ray and it was revelatory. The colors, the detail in the faces...everything just pops.

I picked up the first five seasons on Blu for just over 100 bucks back when Amazon had one of their ridiculous holiday sales. Easily the best purchase I've made for that medium.

As someone who already owns seasons 1-5 on bluray, that complete set and its contents look like dogshit. It's really a shame for such a great show and they try to sell us that junk? Please.

Season 6 standalone for me.

Uh.... the lost collection doesn't come in a Dharma box?
Seriously? What the fuck?

Sounds great. I'm definitely going to pick up the Lost BR package when I'm ready to go through the series again.

Has anyone been going through Season 6 again, post-finale? I'm curious to see what the flash sideways will resemble now, knowing what we know.

Play through a few Silent Hill games, it's good exercise for being able to grasp all the intricacies and subtleties of the flash sideways :lol

Been going through Alan Wake recently, actually.

Definitely get some huge Lost vibes from it. Lost and Twin Peaks.

Anyone have any cool HD 1920x1080 images from the finale? I'd like some on my desktop rotation...

Yeah, I'll be able to buy it one week from today when my gf and I both get our mega paychecks :lol

I'm very excited to get it.

i just went on goozex and it only does movies and games

Dunno what you're talking about:

http://www.goozex.com/trading/movies/219424-Lost_The_Complete_Fifth_Season_5_Disc_Set-Blu_ray_Disc
http://www.goozex.com/trading/movies/219424-Lost_The_Complete_Fifth_Season_5_Disc_Set-Blu_ray_Disc
http://www.goozex.com/trading/movie...ete_Fourth_Season_5_Disc_Box_Set-Blu_ray_Disc

Those are actually incredible point totals, too... o.0

A user could probably trade all their seasons of lost and actually end up with more points than the $ they spent.

Edit: Amazon has season 1 lost blu-ray for $35, but it's trading on goozex for 750 points, which is ~$45 worth of points.

Wow. Wish I could watch it instead of playing it.

If Darwin was on a dollar bill in America, 30% of the country would switch over to the Canadian looney toons business right away.

Oh yeah, I forget. The whole half-your-country-is-retarded thing.

I think the point of the Cooper stuff was that Locke wasn't a killer. And him knifing Naomi in the back was the biggest leap the show ever took with that character, even Terry O'Quinn said that scene was bullshit and something Locke would never have done.

I actually think its perfectly in line with what Locke would have done during that time in his arc. He was at his most viciously fanatical. He had been shot and left for dead, when all of a sudden the island through Walt tells him he has work to do.

Audio Commentaries accompany four episodes (LA X, Dr. Linus, Ab Aeterno and Across The Sea)

Fucking bullshit. NO commentary for The End? Are you fucking kidding me?

Yeah, the gameplay in Alan Wake is sort of.... archaic, I guess, and it seems like it'll get very repetitive. I have to admit the first time I started Alan Wake up, I played it for maybe 30 minutes before thinking "man, I'd rather be playing Red Dead." The gunplay in particular between the two games is night & day.

The setting and atmosphere in Alan Wake are simply amazing, though, and so far the story is pretty intriguing. I can forgive a game in some areas, even gameplay, if it does cool things in others. I'm still only on the first episode, though.

I was excited for the game before I realised it was an action/combat kinda thing. I thought I'd just be walking around talking to people in Twin Peaks style environments. Disappointment :(
