Audio Commentaries accompany four episodes (LA X, Dr. Linus, Ab Aeterno and Across The Sea)

Fucking bullshit. NO commentary for The End? Are you fucking kidding me?

They've said a million times they aren't going to talk about the finale.

How's the Lost Blu-Ray transfer?

S1 is the weakest; its due to the source material. They obviously werent shooting on as high quality film stock in S1 as the were for the rest of the series. Still, its a quantum leap over the DVD.

S2 is a revelation. Leaps and bounds better than S1.

S3 is the best quality transfer on any of the seasons, and the best television transfer Ive ever seen. Its ludicrously pristine.

S4 isnt quite as good as S3. The skintones are a bit oversaturated and there is a bit of noise in the picture. Its about on the same level as S2.

I dont have S5 yet :lol Ill finally have to break down in the next few months before S6 comes.

So, in terms of BD transfers, S3 > S2=S4 > S1

I was excited for the game before I realised it was an action/combat kinda thing. I thought I'd just be walking around talking to people in Twin Peaks style environments. Disappointment :(
This is kind of my only problem with Mass Effect 2. Sometimes, I'd just like to talk shit out diplomatically, rather than being forced into a mad gun fight every where I go.

Yeah, as in doing interviews and shit. And I dont blame them given how retarded the media has proven to be over the past week. But a commentary is a closed, one-way info dump. They should have done one.

Yeah, that is some crap. Hopefully though through deleted scenes and whatnot we'll get more information. As storytellers they probably won't want to divulge too much, but it would still be nice to hear commentary about non-answer stuff.

I'm becoming one of THOSE people, who doesn't want to do anything in a game but watch it unfold.

Accept, of course, Mario Galaxy.

What a piss poor fucking lineup of extras for the final season. Son, I am disappoint. I can guarantee that the only things Ill listen to are the LA X and Dr Linus commentaries.

You're not interested in what they have to say about Ab Aeterno and Across the Sea?

Across the Sea commentary is the one that interests me by far. If there is a commentary that will clear a load of shit up, that would be the one. I know it's not your favorite episode, and that applies to many, but it is an origin/myth episode and the fact that they picked that one to commentate on is very promising.

Ive never found Nestor Carbonell particularly informative, and Across the Sea is a figment of my imagination.

I think it's actually pretty cool. Lots of cool extras.

In terms of the commentaries, I assume the LA X commentary will tackle the entire season, like Because You Left's from the S5 set.

I'm also curious to hear their commentary on Across The Sea.

They've said countless times they want the finale to stand on its own, without them telling people specifically what it all means, and such. Doing a commentary would totally defeat that purpose.

Imagine Red Dead Redemption, except instead of a Western setting, you have the island, and instead of Marston, you play as Jack.

Rockstar, you are going to team up with Team Silent and you are going to deliver this to us.

What AW episode are you on, Solo?

I keep hearing that episode 4 is the coolest one.

Im going to start 5 in about 20 minutes. 4 is amazing. There is a fucking
ROCK CONCERT
that is sooooo Max Payne :D

Yea, basically. Games are too intense. They need a couple breather moments, ya know? I love ME2, but I can only get through like, 2-3 hours at a time before feeling like I gotta relax with something else.

I agree. We're getting too old for this shit

An actor commentary would suffice just as well.

Oh, do the commentaries only feature the actors? I kinda figured Darlton might have something to say on them. Regardless of whether you liked AtS or not, I imagine creator insight on the episode and why they made the decisions they did would be very interesting.

I imagine Lindelcuse will do the LA X and Across the Sea commentaries.

Depends on the ep. LA X and Across the Sea will be Lindelcuse no doubt, while I bet Linus will be Emerson + director and Ab Aeterno will be Carbonell + director.

One of the things I hate is tension. I hate being in a position where I'm concerned I'm going to be murdered. If somebody is firing a gun at me and I can't see them, that's it, I'm probably going back to Rock Band.

Pretty much. Never got around to finishing the last 3-4 games I bought, because of this. Uncharted 2, Arkham Asylum, shit is too intense for me man.

Dave, it's no wonder you don't like Alan Wake if you hate tension. :lol

The game seriously lays the tension on thick, more than any game that I can recall. It's not so much frightening as it is unrelenting in its atmosphere of sheer dread. Play that game with a pair of headphones on for quite the experience.

I haven't played it yet, but that's the reason I haven't played it :p

I laugh because this is EXACTLY how I feel about Mass Effect 2. Although I think I'm more down on it than most. Beautiful game but also insanely repetitive when it comes to the action.

The original is better.

Those of you with a Wii should snag the new Mario Galaxy for a nice change of pace. Heard that's supposed to be a vaguely decent game or some such thing. ;)

Mine's comin in through Gamefly tomorrow!

Didn't play the original, but ME 2 is indeed a beautiful fucking game. God damn mindblowing scenery. So much depth to it too, love some of the side stories that develop.

My old gaffer tag used to be Iamthegamer. Shit changes, man. :lol

I was like, a top 50 in the world Burnout Revenge player at one time in my life.

We're getting old, man.

I knew I was fucking getting old when I struggled with some of the earlier stars in the first Mario Galaxy. :lol

Yeah i completed MGS2 like 10 times.

Im starting to feel what you're feeling too.

Red Dead is not doing much for me

My reaction time is going to shit too. I used to pull off combos like crazy. Now my fucking fingers just don't listen.:lol

Yep same here. Completed MGS1 every time I played it without saving ( I didn't have a memory card) :lol
