The Losties got to heaven.

Then, Jack doesn't like how shit is run, and he kicks the shit out of God.

Jack rips God's beard fucking off. His head is still attached to the beard.

As a reward for past services, Shephard gives John Locke the position of Head Angel in Charge.

Yep. There's no shortage of good, nay, brilliant TV, at the moment.

:lol

I am truly the Christian Shepard of NeoGAF. How many threads have I made that just turn into tiny little communities where everyone just hangs out to talk about whatever?

(Okay, maybe just the two. But still! That's awesome!)

I am totally Boone.

Alright so I haven't been following this thread but need an answer after rewatching the finale

Ben went to hell right?

Is there like a summary of answers/most plausible theories somewhere?

Why would you think Ben went to Hell?

He decided to stay in Purgatory, most likely to work out some stuff/spend more time with Alex and Roussosuosuoasuou.

Edit: Theories in relation to what?

I find it odd that youre putting a christian spin on it. That church had a representation of many religions. Just look at the glass behind Christian when he and jack embrace. I highly doubt this whole thing was about heaven and hell.

Ben's in the same purgatory type world as everyone else on the show.. however, he declines to move on/leave with the rest because he presumably still needs to make some things right, with respect to the Rousseau's for example?

The show doesn't commit to a heaven or hell at all.. but it does seem to place all of its participants in the same limbo, a place for them to wait for and reconnect with the rest of their friends.

Thanks for answering, yeah that makes sense since they didn't wrap up Ben's story in regards to Alex.

Mostly stuff that came from the finale, but overall about the show is cool too, stuff that's been left open on purpose but that has been puzzled together at some point. That kinda stuff.

Wait, it is the intention of the writers to make the people go to an afterlife right?

Yes, but no single religion was ascribed to it. Rewatch the Church scene, and look around for about a billion different religious symbols in the room with Jack/Christian (not just on the stained glass, btw).

And no mention of any sort of Hell/punishment is made, aside from the stuff with Michael being stuck on The Island.

Yeah no doubt, I got that the first time. I just used heaven and hell as words because they're the most recognized. People can gray it up if they want but it does come down to that no? The only other thing I can think of is there is no hell, but there most definitely is a heaven, or whatever you want to call it.

I wanted to do a rewatch of it all but I dunno if it's worth it for those ''oh'' moments, I think there won't be too much of those which is why I wondered if someone made a website or something where everything is dissected

Maybe, but there's nothing like Lost's great mix of characters, mystery, and sci-fi/fantasy. Plus those other great shows that people talk about are completely different in tone. They tend to be much darker compared to Lost, which has plenty of light-hearted, happy, funny, and charming moments.

Breaking Bad, for instance. I tried watching a few episodes of it when it first started. While it's well made, it just wasn't for me. Way too dark. In one episode, a character dissolves some bodies in a bathtub full of acid to cover up a murder, and later has a bunch of bones fall through the ceiling as the acid ate through the tub. I think this was supposed to be funny, but it was just disturbing to me.

"Previously on Alan Wake"

I think most LOST/TV fans would appreciate this game. Shit, there is some MIB-esque stuff going on in it.
don't forget,
there were two Alans in the game, Thomas Zane was Jacob, Barbara Jagger was the Man-In-Black, Cynthia was Eloise Hawking, Hartman was Dharma

I found myself making a comparison a couple of times, shamefully...especially considering the ever-changing grasp of said plot.

Because it's apparently the thing to do when you don't have Lost, I've started watching Twin Peaks finally.

God damn, this show is good.

I don't think anyone went to hell. Except maybe Michael. Man they must have hated the guy who played that character, they shit all over him in this show.

Wait wait dammit! How far are you? Let's start a LTTP thread. Best parts about these shows are the discussions.

:lol ! lol @ 24 leaving a void. As much as I criticize Lost, Lost is easily a tier above 24. That show is severe shake my head at times. Breaking Bad and The Wire >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lost and 24. Lost is Shawn Michaels, 24 is Marty Jannetty. Breaking Bad and The Wire are Hall and Nash.

And I'm rewatching the finale, I think a younger Rose could've gotten the peins if I were able to time travel.

I just finished watching the fourth episode (labeled 103 on CBS's site, they don't have the pilot there for some reason)

Isn't big ander from here? He got his question answered on Jay & Jack. Or rather, acknowledged, not really answered. Jorge confirms that the epilogue is "lighter" but there's also some more overarching island stuff.
Sweet, fourth time I've been on Jay and Jack now. I'm gonna go listen now.

Press release for the DVD/Blu-Ray sets is out. For those that were worried about it, the epilogue is in both the Season set and the Complete set.

Damn, I'm going to buy this so hard. I agree that something other than Senet would have been cooler, but I'll deal with it.

Now somebody explain this Goozex site. I can post up the Lost DVD sets I have and get points, but I can only use those points for other DVDs? Is there anyway to change the points into cash? Can I apply them to an Amazon purchase?

I started it too! Found the pilot on YouTube, then watched the second episode on CBSs website. I've been trying for about a day now to get the third episode to work through their site, and it just refuses to cooperate. So Twin Peaks is in my next rotation of Netflix DVDs. I'll blast through it quicker that way. I was impressed after the first two episodes though, and I feel like I'm only barely scratching the surface. I'm excited for what's to come.

Not to mention all of the characters on the front of the book they won't recognize for like, 4 seasons.
Yeah. Hell, when watching the individual season sets I always avoided looking at the covers (and disc art as much as possible) so as not to notice upcoming additions or subtractions.

Any intelligent finale dissemination podcasts or great finale podcasts in general. Usually listen to the utterly FANTASTIC tv critic's Lostcast, put he usually throws them up on Sundays.

Please, no janky skype shout-ins or listener feedbacks for 90% of the show.

EDIT: Oops! Part 1 of the TV critic's 'The End' podcast is now up. Highly recommend listening, if isn't already well known in LOST-GAF circles.

It's good to see people watching twin peaks because of this thread.

I was wondering about this... Is it possible that the whispering ones can only be free after the Island ceases to exist? But if so, does that mean the Island continued to exist even after the end of time?

What?

Yenrot said:
Wait, is this "epilogue" the extra 20 minutes?

More like 15 from what I've heard, but yeah.

It really is supposed to be an epilogue, though, as opposed to a deleted scene. Reportedly, it takes place after Jack dies.

Ghosts have got to be waiting for someone to move on with. That's how I see Christian in the church at the end after being on the freighter earlier in S4, Isabella waiting for Richard, Charlie waiting for Claire, Michael waiting for Walt, etc.

In that case, does it mean that Walt survives the end of time? ;)

I would guess that Walt and Michael simply co-exist in a different waiting place than most of the original crew.

Basically, yea. Michael is like Eloise and Walt is like Faraday. He just doesn't want to fuck up his son's afterlife just yet.
