Actually what I meant was on the first post of the thread i said "shit show, sucks."

and then never returned again :lol

and no i wont get into this debate with you

A little tidbit Ausiello posted today:

Question: Some news about the future of Josh Holloway in television? —Olivia

Ausiello: Funny story: Shortly after I posted my story linking Holloway to NBC’s Rockford Files remake, Doc Jensen emails me and says he had a conversation with JH about Rockford back in April when NBC started casting the pilot. Doc J mentioned to him that after watching the “Sawyer & Miles” cop show in the sideways world, he thought Holloway would make a perfect Jim Rockford. Holloway’s response? “I thought so, too! And I was like, no way, don’t even go there… because I love The Rockford Files. And I thought Ken [Leung] would be great for [Rockford's sidekick]. I would have loved that show. But I wanted to give movies a shot, so I never even pursued it.” But that was April. This is August. Fingers crossed Holloway is having a change of heart.

To be fair, they did admit to some improvisation, because that's the nature of television, etc.
But they still pretend they always knew the answers to their mysteries when they introduced them, and that's clearly bullshit. :lol

I watched season 1-4 years ago and I just finished watching the last two seasons yesterday. The idea was to avoid getting pissed off by the Dragon Ball Z-like story movement and cliffhangers. It worked out pretty well too. I don't see how anyone could have watched this show as the episodes were released. I'd want to murder the writers.

All-in-all, I'd say it was a pretty good show, that had the benefit of having a planned ending that was carried out in a timely manner while the show was still popular. It just doesn't feel like there are too many examples of shows that go out under the same circumstances.

Maybe they did plan them out. But the plan was bullshit to begin with. Which explains how lackluster most of the answers in S6 were.:lol

I find it hard to believe they would have designed the smoke monster the way they did and it with the story elements they had early on if they had an idea of what they wre going to reveal it to actually be at the end.

They were pushing hard for it to be some sort of mechanical construct of darma or the others or something along those lines and then all of a sudden we get, "I thought I was summoning it, but it was summoning me" and the man in black. Yeah they just pulled that out of their ass.

Anyone else agree that

"The substitute", "Lighthouse", "Sundown" and "Dr Linus" is one of the best stretches of episodes of the whole show

"The Candidate", "Across the Sea", "What they died" for and "The End" is even better i think.

This doesnt even include "Ab Aeterno" and "Happily Ever After"

Season 6 FTW!

I wish I could forget the last season and just make up my own - it was better. I felt misled after the ending, never watching it again.

But the first seasons are fantastic. :D

Since when did Lost have a sixth season? As far as I know it ended at the end of the fifth.

*fingers in ears*

la la la la la, I can't hear you....

I stopped watching the show about 6 episodes into the final season (essentially because my cable company updated my DVR and I couldn't figure out how to record a series for about a month). After reading spoilers from the final episode and still not really understanding what the fuck was going on, I'm finding it harder and harder to muster up the motivation to watch the rest of it.

I'm one of those weird people that liked Lighthouse more than The Substitute. One of the few times where I didn't mind Jack going apeshit. :lol

Save yourself the hassle, it will only tarnish your appreciation for the show.

Ahhhh, i think im out.

I'll come back when its mostly the fans.

Why do you always make posts like this? If it bothers you so much to see people post negative things about your favorite show, you can just ignore it, or respond to the discussions which interest you. Instead you always feel like you need to defend any criticism with one-liners and smart ass remarks, and then when you get "outnumbered" you start whining. It's really terrible.

it's more about the fact that you instigated an argument 4 posts into the thread, dooming this thread to bickering and trolling

LOST was flawed in many ways but i enjoyed it a lot.

I think season 6 has some of the best episodes in the entire series (and some stinkers), and I think I'd appreciate some of the sideways I wasn't particularly jazzed about when they aired now knowing what they are, but I haven't had a chance to re-watch anything besides The End.
