How do you think it will end?

I get the feeling that
everyone is already dead and it's like a purgatory or something for all of them. There just too much stuff they keep harping on with Locke being able to walk now, rose being cured, etc.. It's all stuff that usually means someone is dead because they wouldn't care those illnesses/problems into the afterlife.

Don't tell me if I'm right or wrong, I want to find out on my own but I'll just be disappointed if the show showed it's cards already for the story. I'm almost at the end of season 2, I can only imagine what shenanigans will happen for the season finale.

who the dang is
anna
?

do you mean
ana lucia
?

Ya,
at the time they were just saying ana, it wasn't until the next episode I think they called her by her full name. Wasn't sure how it was spelled, I assumed it was with 2 n's.

How far in are you now?

Amazing show. Peaks at season 4, but it's all great.

The music
The characters
The locations
The intrigue

I love it. Watched in recently on BD, what a gorgeous show.

I got the BD set as well, seriously amazing. If I had more free time I'd think of watching it again.

It's worth it for the bonus features alone. Very surreal to see everything out of context of the show.

I'm about to start a full rewatch up in this bitch.

Haven't done that in years. At least since before the final season aired.

Oh man, it's only been about a year, but I'm seriously considering it.

Honestly, up to, and including season 4, it just gets better and better. The Constant is just magnificent, and the season as a whole is one of the strongest I've ever seen.

It doesn't fall off a cliff, but it definitely loses momentum in the final two seasons. I love the finale though, beaten only by Six Feet's finale as the most emotional ending ever.

what your top three characters...?

I'm not sure entirely. I would say Locke is one of the best, Eko is also fucking awesome and I hope he stays around for a while, he jumped towards the top as soon as he appeared for me. I'm not really sure, the rest sort of jocky depending on the episode/what's going on. Sawyer is hard to like because they try too hard to make him a character to hate and so a decent amount of the time it comes off as annoying. Jack was cool but gets whiny at times now and so he sort of jumps back and forth between being well done.

I actually like Hugo a good deal and is probably up there also, he's not shown much but every time he is I've always liked it. Hugo is shown too little so maybe Jin and Sun for third. I've really liked their interaction so far and I liked seeing their backstory and what's going on so I guess them. But then again Michael Emerson just appeared on the show and he's the only reason I even started watching it so I'm hoping he jumps to the top spot once more happens with him. :D

The rest are too minor and you don't find out enough to have any real connection to to take much attention to. Rose and them could become great characters but having like 1 episode a season with them in it makes it hard for them to matter.

Am I the only one that liked Kate's character?

Like with the others I don't think she's bad but they don't do enough with her and seems like lazy writing like with Jack at times. They start to grow and build the character and then they're pissy for an episode or two and then they start to act normal again. She's in the higher bracket but it depends on the episode and seems hit or miss like a lot of them. Charlie didn't seem bad at first either and was well done and then it just felt lazy and not much was developing any more. I haven't seen even half of it yet though! :D

lol

no
million times no

to soon fo me... I have the first 5 season on regular greenbeam but still have my collection edition, not sure if I can ever open it... its like 300 bones on ebay...

Kate was bad, sorry guys. No amount of revisionism can change that groundbreaking annoyance of a character.

At the very least, didn't you wanna find out what was in the hatch??

Not knowing would've eaten away at me for all these years.

This shit continues to baffle me. I have no idea how there are people out there not captivated by at least the 1st/2nd season of lost. Like how do you watch the first season of Lost and not want to see the next episode. HOW. I fucking know someone like this and I don't understand it. Do these people just not get emotionally involved in TV at all?

I don't watch shitty movies so I'm safe. ;P I heard the ending sucked for lost anyhow though.

I went into the show a few months ago hesitant because my friends who followed the show FOR YEARS raged about the ending. It made me nervous because I'm the same type of person as you are with movies, but particularly so with TV shows because of the time sink.

Long story short, Lost is in a tossup for my personal favorite TV show of all-time with a bunch of others. In terms of pure entertainment, Lost is king above even Breaking Bad from my perspective. You may disagree when it over, but we will no doubt agree it is quality TV. Lost is definitely up there with the God-Tier shows in terms of character development as well.

Many of the plot hole complaints that you have no doubt heard about are simply constructs of longtime fans' minds. Imagine you invested almost 8 years into a 120 episode epic that twists and turns after each episode. You can start to see how these passionate viewers had a hard time remembering small details that arise in later episodes and sometimes in seasons down the road. That is not a knock against OG Lost fans, but simply an observation I've noticed.

The ending wraps up in a majestic way that will leave you satisfied with a sense of closure, but of course with such a complicated plot line you will crave answers to your questions. You will be left with questions because the story is so dense some details may go over your head like they did mine. That is a compliment to the story.

All in all, Lost is the quintessential show for a marathon viewing for each episode leaves you wanting more. Its absolutely incredible and anyone who marathons Lost will not be disappointed. Enjoy the ride, mate!

Look, I love this show with all my being, and look back at it incredibly fondly, but all the issues people complain about can't be written off. It depends whether it bothers you personally, but it doesn't just go over everyone's head. Some/a lot of it does yeah, but some stuff they totally abandoned/wrote off. Doesn't really bother me, but it does for a lot of people I guess.

I've said it for a few years now, but here's the way I see it: with respect to the characters, LOST stuck its landing wonderfully; with respect to the plot, LOST broke its ankle and shattered its pelvis.

Oh, the humanity.

Or maybe not.

No, it's just messy. Unsurprisingly so, considering it was poorly and carelessly improvised.

anyone who marathons Lost will not be disappointed.
Well, I guess not taking the time to think about what you see would help a whole bunch...

... Man, discussing the specifics would mean a lot of black bars, right now, wouldn't it?

How would you argue that?
(^ honest question)

I won't argue that at all. All I will say in return is your move! I'm more than happy to engage in a Lost discussion if you are. Considering we have polarizing views on Lost makes the prospect of a discussion even more appealing.
