Watched the life and death of Jeremy Bentham again.
Locke'd out again had me in tears.

Man, thinking back on it again, the story of John Locke is so tragic.

A man who's want, no, need to have faith in something, was used by multiple people in his life. From Jacob, to his Father, and then when at his weakest, The Man in Black. He was a man used for just believing. He had no one in the finale except Jack.

I cannot not cry when watching the ending of walkabout after having watched the finale.

It is tragic, but his convincing Jack that there is something special about the island was perhaps the biggest victory that anyone on the show ever had.

John Locke's story is tragic, sure, but his side won in the end. Jack kicked some ass, and John was certainly on his mind when he was doing it.

John also got the final lines of the show, spoken to Jack, and he seemed pretty content.

Man, the entire show is about Jack and John, and it's sooogood.gif.

Walkabout's ending will make you misty-eyed even if you've only seen the first 4 eps of LOST, let alone the whole series. Truly one of the best episode closers ever. Such an amazing episode.

Walkabout is so boss.

I really really really wanna rewatch the final season goddamit. Still getting the money together for a PS3 + BRD complete set. Should have it very soon, barring anything unexpected.

(I need to stop impulse buying shit on Amazon :lol )

Getting used by Goku was the biggest insult of all.

It's so worth it. Season play is THE SHIT. I wish each and every series on Blu-Ray had this. It's fucking amazing.

Just watching the Lost logo at the start of that orientation video gave me the "holy shit a new episode of Lost!!!" tingle which no other show can give me :( Still waiting to buy the Blu-Ray before doing a rewatch. Going to import the American boxset (the UK one is crappy) and then I'll have to buy Seasons 3 and 4 to replace to discs as those 2 are region locked. It only comes to £18 more than if I just bought the UK set.

You guy's are stronger than me! I finished no more than 2 weeks ago and I'm already doing a rewatch. It was an itch I had to scratch!

Almost got the money together for a PS3, I'll have the Lost complete set money a week or two later :)

I'm buying the PS3 this upcoming week or the next. Had a surprise date today in Philadelphia today, had to drop some money.

Went well too, had a long passionate makeout session at the end

BOSSNESS ACHIEVED.

So, I'll be able to rewatch S6 very soon.

YOU'RE A BOSS

I don't think I've ever soured on a series like I have with Lost. I'm sure if you go back to the Season 5 thread I was in the minority, aghast at the direction the series was taking and some incredibly mediocre episodes helping my cause.

I haven't even contemplated rewatching the series but listening to some Giacchino's tunes the other day did remind me despite really not enjoying a great deal of the last two seasons, the show did deliver some pretty memorable moments (Walkabout ending, Beachcraft leaving at the end of Season 1 or Season 2 opening in the hatch) and those memories won't be wiped away anytime soon.

It answers the cabin, but i guess nobody cares anymore.

It also says it was the real christian on the freighter(there were whispers after all)

I care!

Where did you find it? Amazon says it comes out in two days.

Today, for the first time in a while I felt that itch..
it feels like a fucking past life at this point. Like if someone brings up the show it actually takes a while to remember some details, its like slowly moving farther to the back of my mind.

Look at the way I'm talking about a damn tv show.

Thought I just had: season 4 is my favourite season, but now that I think about it, it was a pointless season. It set up a big bad only for him to become the not big bad fairly shortly afterwards. And this "I was bad and now I'm not" was glossed over in a single line. Storytelling-wise, that's probably my biggest complaint. Season 6 retro-actively made the best season into padding.

It's a common occurrence for storylines that don't have that big a deal in the big scheme of things to actually be a lot better and enjoyable than the ones that carry the plot forward.

Maybe because they are fresh, and are more in the now than just building up to something. It's more focused.

Quite, but it just sets up a lot of emotional avenues of exploration that are never explored. Season 6 had a lot to like about it, but my largest complaint was that it resolved a lot of plots without resolving a lot of themes and emotion. There was never any closure proper, just a series of events that stopped plot threads in their tracks without really wrapping them up good and proper. Ben and Whitmore's relationship was a huge casualty of this in my opinion.

Season 4 was a lot more than just setting up Whittlemore as the "big bad."

You bastards and you pointing out my lack of name checking!

But yes, I know it was more than that, but the whole <boss of freighter crew> plot point was definitely the largest one. Or even if you disagree with that statement, to deny it was huge, serious business would be insanity.

My mom and dad finished the series. They started watching in August :lol

I lent them my Blu Rays, but I don't have season 6 (waiting to get full series), so my brother gave it to them last Friday. They watched LA X that night and then finished it the next day.

They loved it.
