I grabbed my friend the other day and shouted "Yes! New Lost in a couple of months!" and he jumped for joy before being flooded by the realisation that it isn't. ever. again. Then we both frowned, and he punched me in the arm (softly) :lol

:(

I didn't think he'd actually fall for it, but I guess the human mind of a Lost fan will so easily break down when faced with the concept of more Lost. In fact, y'know what, ABC, abuse the shit out of the Lost license! I'll probably hate it all, but at least we can all get together to discuss and theorize why Lost 2.0 sucks so much. And we might get a few months of hope and hype out of it!

Naww I dont want there to be another sequel or w/e.

Im really happy with how the final season and finale played out.

The complete series premium edition blu ray comes out tomorrow in the UK woop!

Yeah me too, I don't really want them to exploit it. Though I was thinking earlier how I'd like the show to continue if it HAD to, and I'd like a semi-reboot. New cast, new crew and writers. Group of people find the island like 815, similar shit happens. Same universe, same timeline, just a few years later. 815 to them is like the Black Rock to us, just another mystery with vague hints lying around the island. Jorge could even make a guest appearance as their Jacob. One thing is certain, the story of the survivors of 815 is told and I never want them to go back to that. But the island will always be there!

It's cheaper to import the vastly superior US one.

That sounds cool in theory, but it would be nowhere near as good and it would just depress us.

Yeah but seasons 3 and 4 are region locked.

Besides im only missing out on the black rock note and the light that reveals secrets

More than likely.

And the awesome box with a rotating map and hidden compartment! Shouldn't work out too much more to buy those 2 seasons, swap discs, and re-sell them as US region season box's on eBay.

That's cold, Whisp. How could you? ;_;
and yea I'm pretty content with how it all ended... I think.

But don't fret, gents! We're gettin' our goddam sequel!

I'll probably get shit for this, but I honestly have no qualms with the idea of LOST: The Next Genration, IF DONE RIGHT.
Starring Arraon, Ji-Yeon, Charlie Hume, Clementine, Older Walt, etc.
Don't hate me!

Hidden disc compartment lol?

I get the bonus disc anyway so its not a big deal.

Im pretty sure i get the map of the island aswell.

The only thing im jealous of is the awesome box. Its so cool.

threenote is now waiting in the church. We'll all join him one day. (what happened now?)

Season 4 is the best. I think. Maybe season 1. Or 3. Possibly 5 or 6.
Not 2.

Really? If anything I'd say Season 3 was the worst.

In order, I'd say my favorite seasons are:

5,4,1,6,2,3.

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol They couldn't have just waited? Fuck me, the stupidity is just off the charts.

Anyway, track listing looks fantastic, very satisfied with what I'm seeing there. And it looks like they finally got the concept of what a "bonus track" is. My oh my.

I would separate 3 into two parts, since that's how it was in real life. The ending of the story was negotiated in Season 3, so you have the early S3 that went seemingly nowhere, and the later S3 where they became very focused.

Mine would be 4, 3.5, 6, 2, 1, 5, 3.

I think 6 is my favourite.

The flashsideways are my favourite flashes and the MiB and Jacob is my favourite main storyline and Jacks arc in probably my favourite arc of the whole show.

Then factor that Ab Aeterno and The End are my favourite single and finale episodes of the whole aswell.

6 is the best mix of mythology and character imo.

1 is probably the best for character stuff but its a little weak for mythology.

I can definitely agree with Season 3 being split into two parts, very good point. It's hard to really one off it now that I think about it, hell it's hard to place them in order. I'm constantly thinking about ep's from each season that were amazing to me.

Damn you lost!

I dont get the love for S4. It was a much needed breath of fresh air for the show but....

Eggtown. Ugh

The other women - Ji Yeon - meet kevin Johnson might be my least favourite run of episodes of the whole show.

Something Nice Back Home aint to clever either.

Theres no place like home might be my least favourite finale too.

I find season 6 to be the deepest and most thoughtful. Some things maybe weren't executed as well as they could have been, but little things that don't really bother me.

The only thing that dissapoints me is Recon and maybe Sawyer in general.

But its the same with Jack in Season 4 and 5, he didnt have as much to do.

Just watching the Lost logo at the start of that orientation video gave me the "holy shit a new episode of Lost!!!" tingle which no other show can give me :( Still waiting to buy the Blu-Ray before doing a rewatch. Going to import the American boxset (the UK one is crappy) and then I'll have to buy Seasons 3 and 4 to replace to discs as those 2 are region locked. It only comes to £18 more than if I just bought the UK set.

I'm thinking about doing the same, where are the best places to import from?

Ive got some great news!

http://www.varesesarabande.com/servlet/the-106/Lost-cln--The-Last-Episodes/Detail

Soundtrack for the final few episodes are being released!

Disc 1 = The Candidate, Across the Sea and What they Died for.

Disc 2 = The End

HELL YES!

I'm in love.

Did I? Okay, lets go with that then.

4 > 1 > 3 > 2 > 6 >>> 5

2 does have all the awesome hatch stuff, so it probably should be ahead.

1 > 3 (mostly for the second half) > 4 > 5 > 6 > 2

Although maybe i should put 2 in front of 6 since 2 had live together, die alone..

Ah, good ol' rankings

1>3=4>5>6>2

Ultimately, I love every season dearly. So I guess my order is mostly based on which annoyed me the least.

Random awards for each season:

S1 - Most convincing dialogue. The mystery and character revelations in this season were paced to near perfection.
S2 - Most fully realized environment - The Hatch! One of the most original and intriguing concepts to ever come out of this show. Such a rich sense of place, history and function. It's practically another main character to me.
S3 - Most satisfying string of story arch payoffs Anthony Cooper, Desmond's Charlie visions, Rousseau reunion, Dharma Van, Others ownage, off-island contact... the list goes on. Back half of S3 was a beast!
S4 - Most exciting pace throughout - The Freighter (and all the folks and conflict it brought with it) gave the show a major kick in the pants. The season of pure focused badassery.
S5 - Biggest reveal - Jacob/MiB. Rocked the show to its core. MiB's time-twisting manipulations in retrospect are chilling, especially the fake Locke gambit. The cosmic behind-the-scenes battle between light and dark injected the story with a profound sense of context. Everything started to gel with this season.
S6 - Most satisfying character conclusion - Jack motherfuckin' Shepard. He came to terms with his past, owned up to his follies, he vindicated his tragically-wronged mentor (Locke), ascended to godhood, then saved human existence. Jack's journey made season 6's unevenness sooo worth it for me. I get a knot in my stomach just retracing how it all played out. Well done, writers.

Dude gets it.

FUCK YES about the Lost: The Last Episodes soundtrack!

I'm hearing that it's a limited 5000 copy release though, and it's not up on Amazon or iTunes. I hope they do release it on Amazon or iTunes, cause that's the only way I can get it. I NEED this soundtrack! I NEED it NOW!

EDIT: From reading around, apparently they'll probably release this on iTunes also. Hopefully it gets released ASAP cause I've been waiting for this.

I just watched "The end" for the first time in months with my mum and dad, they dont really watch the show but they have a general idea.

It was a horrible experience, they were the worst people in the world to watch it with, constantly talking, asking questions. They ruined the mood of an emotional scene like 5 times.

Its annoying because the whole theme is how these people are the most important part of your life, but I was feeling nothing but frustration from them :lol

Still very good episode though.

Edit: My dad was all like "I didnt get it"

He was shocked when I told him that were all dead even though, Jack and Christian clearly state it.

Ugh!?

These sentences. I like them.

Still very good episode though.

Why in the world would you show them The End? That's like the worst thing to see for someone who doesn't watch the show (even if they have a general idea).

I showed my dad season 1 years ago and he liked it, he has seen bits and pieces here and there whenever Ive had it on TV.

My mum has seen bits and pieces aswell, she watched some random S6 episodes aswell.

They both watched Ab aeterno with me(I forced them) and they thought it was really good.

I guess its a very approachable episode for newbies.

Still, they were a terrible audience.

Well...I got the encyclopedia.

First impression was bad.

I am super stoked, and I open it and...wtf...the book jacket was backwards. No biggie, I flip it so it matches the book, and...nope, it's not the jacket, it's the book.

The front cover is upside down (the actual cover, not the jacket).

Here's a pic of the front of the book (no jacket) and the first page being upside down):

:(

Oh well, with the jacket on it's fine...but still sucks.

They'll probably fix it(catch their mistake) at some point and you now have a rare collector's item.

Got the encyclopedia! Mine is fine, no upside down cover or pages. Just barely glanced through it so far, but it looks awesome. I'll definitely spend some time reading through some stuff tonight after class. Can't wait! If anyone wants to know anything in particular from it, let me know.

You should be happy, that could be worth quite a bit.

Could somebody from the UK clear this up for me please?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003OBZ6HE/ -- Lost Seasons 1-6 Blu-ray £149.99

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003ZYDMYE/ -- Lost Seasons 1-6 Premium Blu-ray £142.49

Why is the premium edition nearly £200 cheaper than the regular boxset (going from the RRP)? From browsing the thread I gather that the standard edition is something of a complete ripoff, so I suppose I should opt for the cheaper, better version instead? (Not that I need a senet board...)

Excellent news about the second S6 soundtrack by the way, Giacchino was sooo good in the latter episodes. :D

^ Lots of answers: http://forum.lostpedia.com/lost-encyclopedia-confirmations-t64351.html?

Looking through so far...pretty fucking overwhelming!

Everything is in there...everything.

The main character pages are awesome, too...Hurley and Jacks are the main two I've seen so far (And Ben), and they're sooo fleshed out.

Ridiculous.

The foreword by Damcar is really well put, too.

LOST is finally over...100%
