I love how they show the characters through the years....but they don't do it for the characters you'd think. Like Widmore/Eloise/Jacob/MIB get the treatment, but the main LOSTies don't :(

I love the diagrams of the Dharma stations. So good. Also any close ups of props. The Apollo bar entry is great because you can see all the ingredients.

I can't even fathom any other shows having this much depth to it.

Like it or hate it, the amount of work that went into this show is ridiculous.

Little things that were never seen on the show at all like the truce letter, things like the handwritten notes on it and the addendum's on the back. It's crazy.

Has any other show done something like this? This is the most in depth mythology ever, and the crazy part is that so much of it is physical.

I love that Michael Emmerson actually filled in Ben's diary as if he were Ben on the island. It's not canon or anything, but I think the auction winner put scans up of his entries on DarkUFO.

Random thought: Was Mib trying to kill the candidates on the freighter?

I dont think MiB would object if they died on the freighter but theres nothing that leads back to MiB planning it.

MiB just seemed concentrated on Locke mainly.

Someone from DarkUFO posted a comment saying their "Last Episodes" soundtrack shipped and they should have it early next week. Another person claimed it would be released on iTunes and Amazon on November 2nd, but with no source. Hopefully it does come to iTunes soon... I just can't wait!

EDIT: That person apparently posted on the Lostpedia forums saying they got an email back from Varese Sarabande saying that it would be on Amazon and iTunes for download on November 2nd. No clue how legit this is, but that's how they claim to have received the information.

Looking through so far...pretty fucking overwhelming!

Everything is in there...everything.

The main character pages are awesome, too...Hurley and Jacks are the main two I've seen so far (And Ben), and they're sooo fleshed out.

Ridiculous.

The foreword by Damcar is really well put, too.

LOST is finally over...100%

yeah.. :o I'll never be bored while taking a shit again... :lol

omg there are samples on that Last Episodes soundtrack site, Parallelocam is the opening of the finale, even though it's practically the same as "LAX" I'm glad it's there.

also Sun/Jin's remembering music is there, and like above, even though it's just "There's No Place Like Home" it's a very beautiful remix of it.

very pleased with this.

...I miss Lost.

Couple days ago I fixed my parents laptop, and my mom wanted me to show her how to use Hulu (lol). So naturally I put the first episode of Lost on and she seemed to like it. She's probably too busy to watch it online, so I might just buy the DVD or something if she really likes it. But yea, seeing the beginning of the first episode, seeing Locke Locke, etc. I miss that Lost

In a perfect world I would be going out of my way to avoid Season 7 spoilers right about this time of year.

7.01-There's No Now Here(Jack & Christian centric)

:(

I agree, it was a low blow, im feeling very vulnerable atm after watching the bonus features.

Some people apparently got their "Last Episodes" soundtrack already. Man, I hope November 2nd would hurry up so I can get it off iTunes!

I feel obligated to share my pain. I've been doing quite well, actually, but this is the time of year when the hype train for the new season would be leaving the station. And doesn't help that the networks are constantly shitting on us with terrible programming.

If the concept of "letting go" didn't factor so heavily into the show's finale, I'd probably be hurting so much more right now.
The writers were extra smart in taking that route. It definitely has eased my withdrawal process.

Still stings like a bitch, though.

That's the threshold of how obsessive one can be about a show. Coming up with fake seasons to a TV show that has ended. It's totally crossing the line (which I am responsible for various shows).

Anyway, this is fun. We should do this. LOST MUST NOT DIE.

Careful. One minute you're dreaming up imaginary episode titles, and before you know it you'll be writing Jack/Locke slash fanfiction in your spare time.

What's the difference?

We were doing that when the show was still on.

In lieu of the Halloween holiday, I have written some creepy folklore related to Lost.

It is called "Waaaaaalt... Waaaaaaalt..."

In September of 2004, Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on a mysterious island.

The reasoning behind the crash is largely unknown, but authorities have ruled out turbulence due to the reportedly stable weather conditions en route from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, California.

On this flight, in addition to a poor old bald man with delusions of grandeur and a cocky spinal surgeon, were Michael Dawson and his son, Walt.

Some time after the plane crashed, the stranded Oceanic crew decided to take initiative and build a quite pathetic raft that could have been destroyed by the smallest wave, or torn apart by an infant Nurse Shark just passing by.

There are a lot of waves-- and Nurse Sharks-- in the ocean.

However, the raft was actually the first of two. In a very immature attempt to stop the lost from leaving the island, Walt set the first raft on fire. It is unknown why he did this, but general speculation is that he was brainwashed by an island deity.

Moving on, a second raft was built, resembling an incomplete second Death Star. Despite Walt setting the initial raft on fire, he got a free ticket off the island on this new and improved battle station.

Some hours after setting sail, the raft crew became edgy. Were they going to find rescue? Were they going to collide with a small wave and effectively become shark food? Neither. A tiny, mysterious boat appears out of the fog.

They were saved. Or so they thought.

The celebration is cut short when the captain of the boat, Captain Friendly, made an ominous statement.

"We're going to have to take the boy."

Michael was confused. Take the boy? Why? For what reason? None of these questions are ever answered, but Michael was not ready to give up his son.

After a brief tussle, the raft was destroyed (possibly by the wind), Walt was kidnapped, and Michael and the few other adults with him are left stranded in the ocean.

"WAAAAAAAAALLLLLTTTT!!!!!" Michael screamed. "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!"

The boat disappeared back into the fog.

That has been some time ago, but they say, if you're out swimming on a nice, warm night, if you listen carefully enough, you may be able to hear a father screaming out for his son.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLTTTTTT!"
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I'm definitely buying the encyclodpedia when I have the cash. It'd be nice to have a go-to guide for everything about the show.

This. I'm just totally broke right now. I hope it will still be easily attainable at list price a few months down the line.

That's one hell of a reunion.

Yay, my Encyclopedia has been dispatched, despite getting an email a couple of days ago saying that it had been pushed back until the 25th in the UK. Half price too on Amazon, only a tenner!

Bah, hadn't looked in this thread for a while, but when I do I find they're pulling that limited edition crap with the Last Episodes soundtrack? I think that happened to a couple of Giacchino's other soundtracks, and they're basically impossible to get. :(

Collider did an interview with Darlton at the Spike Scream Awards, and they talked about how they may do a commentary for "The End" sometime down the road, and you wouldn't need to buy something new to access it.

So that's interesting.

I would love that.

The Encyclopedia has this big thing about the Ice Berg of the show, how we only see 10% of the work they did. It would be amazing if in 5-10 years they release more information on it. I mean, the show is what it is, but I'd like to know what made it what it is.

And I'd kill someone to read their series bible.

that's cool

I haven't listened to the commentary's for season 6 yet.

I'm kinda holding out as its the last thing to look forward to that's new for lost.

Oh man, that would be awesome. Release it on May 23rd 2011!

That's what I was thinking. It'd be so perfect.

How deliciously naive.

Hey, I'm not the one who's been bullshitting my audience for years and keeps going at it even after the show ended.

"Damon Lindelof and Cartlon Cuse are glad that you’re finally over hating the Lost finale"

“Strangely, what happened over the last couple months, is that every single person loves it. It seems like that’s actually been a change,” Cuse said on the red carpet for the Spike Scream Awards over the weekend. (There was a big tribute to Lost during the ceremony, although it did not win best TV show.)

“The finale is like a relationship,” Lindelof said. “When it ends at first, you only remember why it ended. But as time goes on, you focus on why you were in it the first place. I think that is what is starting to happen now.”
