This is the ninth, and last, of the 2nd round of events.

This is a token collecting event, you will be collecting "Mask" tokens.

The event will start on Tuesday, 17th February at 9:00 AM UTC and end on Friday, 27th February at 8:00 AM UTC.

The main prize for this event is a Smile Super Rare Card, Nishikino Maki (Setsubun Ver.) [Super Rare #259]. Here is the idolised version of the Event Super Rare.
Max Level: 80, HP: 4
Smile: 4670, Pure: 3900, Cool: 3560
Appeal: Demons In - Every 11 seconds, there is a 33% chance of increasing player's score by 330 points. (Level 1)
Center Skill: Smile Heart - Increases Smile points.

The Normal Card reward for this event is a Smile Card, Shiga Hitomi [Normal #258]. Here is the idolised version of the Event Normal.
Max Level: 40, HP: 3
Smile: 2180, Pure: 520, Cool: 780
Appeal: None
Center Skill: None

The event song is "Natsu, Owaranaide. (夏、終わらないで。, lit. Summer, Don't End.)".
This song is track 2 from BiBi's second single, Cutie Panther. It is sung by µ's sub-unit BiBi, consisting of Ayase Eli, Nishikino Maki and Yazawa Nico.

From Tuesday, 24th February, 12 AM UTC, until the end of the event, the following specials will be run.

4x version of the event song, it costs 4x the tokens (Easy - 60, Normal - 120, Hard - 180).
Expert Event versions of the event song which costs 75 tokens.
New to this event is a Randomised Notes Expert Event song, the same as Expert Event song as above, except the notes are randomised!
None of these above versions count towards the Event Song Ranking.

There will also be extra bonus G from select songs. 150% for Normal and 200% for Hard. Eligible songs change daily.

Since it is new starting from this event, it's worth pointing out again that there will be a Randomised Expert Song available to play.

For the other stations there is no change

Did a quick search on Youtube, seems to be several videos up now. Don't have the time to watch the whole thing right now, only watched a part of it.

A quick skim suggests that they performed a few songs in their short forms, basically the TV versions. They performed wearing the Snow halation costumes.
Emitsun seemed to do alright despite her illness, speaking of Emi, her 2nd single (NEXT PHASE) and 3rd single (Tankyu Dreaming [探求Dreaming] ) are coming out tommorow.

This channel seems to have split the show into different parts. The performances and the show itself.

After this event it'll be break time for me as well. The next few event SRs coming up for EN don't really appeal to me, so i won't be playing those. Hopefully it'll end up being the same for JP...

Gonna wait till 4x is up before deciding to spend any love gems this event. Need to estimate how much I need to spend for T2 first since it's Maki after all.

Next JP event should be Pure, either Eli or Rin considering their last pure event is ages ago.

I got the game, even got a new3ds along with it. Pumped a lot of hours in 3 ultimate on Wii U. Haven't played it as much as I would've wanted to.

Stay strong for your idorus everyone! (I haven't done any event in 2015)

I hate that Google changed it so Androids default volume control is for notifications. Now I can't easily mute my tablet before opening Love Live. I don't want people to hear "BUSHMO!"

Gold? all it's use for atm is to lvl up cards. early on you'll be pressed for Gold because there's so many Normals to max out but once you get most if not all of them to max and you're caught up to Normals, then you'll get a ton of money. pretty sure many people here have > 1m Gold. I personally have >9m atm.

later on (like a year later =P), there will be a new event which lets you spend Gold for perks for the song, including better reward chance, 5 Good/Bad -> Perfect, Stamina heal, etc. more info on that event here: http://decaf.kouhi.me/lovelive/index.php?title=Gameplay#Medley_Festival

No I know that, I mean like the Umberellas or Strawberries or whatever the current event currency is. Gold is pretty obvious, haha.

E: Also, while I just came back, I played hard ~6 months ago. So I don't know how "early on" I still am in that regard. :3

oh, Tokens (oops). http://decaf.kouhi.me/lovelive/index.php?title=Gameplay#Token_Collecting_Event find which difficulty is most efficient for you. if you can easily get SS on Hard event song, then you might want to wait till EX and see how you fare there. 4x songs are just time savers. you'll get more money, exp, and cards from normal event songs. the normal event song is also ranked while 4x isn't so you'll want to do a decent Hard song run at least once. if you're using love gems, you could also do 4x Event songs to get the rewards for that if you already completed the rewards for the normal songs

EDIT: also to clarify, 4x Event songs use 4x the number of Tokens for 4x the event pts. you don't get 4x the Tokens from anything

Near the end you can spend 4x tokens to do the event song and get 4x the rewards except exp which is the same. So it's just a time saver really. Spending them right away will make you play more and gain more exp.

As long as they don't outright call them by their names they'll get away with it. They've had anime based (and other things) items since the beginning. The only hairstyle that could be considered unique to Love Live is Kotori's and I doubt there's been a trademark taken out on that.

er… what I meant to say is, what the heck is Gaia?

I don't know what the update has done but I'm getting noticable lag now when playing even just a normal Live. The game itself plays okay but I kind of have to phase out really looking at the screen because it's just too juddery. I killed every other program and turned off the data except wifi but it's still real shit

I might have to revive my Nexus 4 just to play Love Live lol. (Well I'd probably just not bother, really, but still)

Dammit, an amber alert just killed a FC run of EX Aishiteru Banzai literally 5 seconds from the end, and I'm not so good at this game that FCs of EXs come easily. However, I managed to FC it on my next run, and then went on to FC EX Wonderful Rush, both for the first time. Apparently the optimal state for me to be in for this game is slightly hungover? Even so, I don't think I'll intentionally try to recreate this state for School Idol reasons.

Next JP SIF event stars Nozomi! There's also a new mode added for this Score Match called Technical mode!

What is Technical Mode?

-A mode targeted towards advanced players. The songs that appear in it are high in difficulty even among other Expert songs.

-The amount of LP consumed and rewards received are the same as Expert. I am not sure if event points received are affected in anyway, but for now I am assuming you get the same amount of event points as if you’re playing Expert.

-When choosing Technical mode, the window will display “Would you like to participate in an Expert Score Match?” Be aware that the song selection for this mode are Expert songs designed for Technical mode.

- The number of songs that will be selected during each rotation for Technical mode is 6. One song will be a daily song on Expert mode and is 11 stars in difficulty. The other 5 songs will be on Random Expert. In other words, every time you play one of the expert songs on Technical mode, the note chart will be different each time you play it. Only the Daily Expert song chart is not randomized.

-There will be songs within the selection that will have a Random Expert chart for the first time.

Another 15 days of taken it easy. They almost force me to play normal. Kinda curious what the challenge mode is going to bring. I can Do expert just fine now but the spicy songs are still pretty rough. Can't imagine how much harder these new songs are going to be :S
