Lttp: Beyond Good and Evil

Never really heard much about this game other that a few mutters of it's name here and there. Though that was enough to pique my interest, but never really pursued getting the game.

Happened to be at blockbuster the other day and they had a copy of the PS2 version for 7 bucks, so decided to pick it up.

Not a terribly big fan of platforms, but so far the game is pretty awesome. Humor is top notch (rescuing the double agent guy got quite a few laughs), and I'm enjoying the whole photographic part of the game... even though it's led to quite a few deaths

Overall pleased with the investment of 7 dollars, know there's quite a few games in my collection I wouldn't of even bought for that much if I had known better.

Oh and jade rocks.

Were all console versions of the game pretty much the same? I've played the PS2 and Gamecube versions, but didn't notice much of a difference, if any at all. I'm really hoping to see another game in the franchise.

Somehow you managed to find the most tame of Fenrir's drawings.
:lol

anyway yeah the game is pretty good I bought a copy for 10 dollars so you got a even better deal than me.

hope Ubisoft let Ancel do part 2 and 3.

I played about half-way through the PS2 version when it glitched on me and I couldn't go any farther. Eventually, I was able to get my hands on a copy of the GC version. A week or so later, I made it to the end and was blown away by it. The ending rocked and I'm really glad I didn't miss it. Of course, the rest of the game is really great too.

Oh Ferrio and your pics, even Jade is not safe. Anyway, yeah Beyond Good and Evil rocks, one of biggest surprises (I didn't even pay attention to this game much before, when the price dropped, I figured what the hell, why not?) and favorite games this gen.

This Jade pic kinda shock me. In the game she's hot because she isn't like this picture but some intellectual women with a nice personality.

I wonder what she plans on doing with the stick and camera next! :lol

Great game... disturbing image!

Enjoy, its an absolute classic. I bumped an old BG&E thread when I finished it myself few weeks ago. Terribly ashamed to have come so late to this gem. But I swear to buy two copies of BG&E if ever gets made! Certainly a title make you think what would have happened if Sierra and the adventure genre actually surived the transition back then.

I just picked it up last week and while I adored it at first, it's started to wear a little thin. How many factories do I have to sneak through before something fun happens? Yeesh. ALso, the overworld appears to be much more interesting than it actually is. There just isn't much to find.

That said, I'll keep at it (I'm looking forward the space travel. Or what I think is space travel. It's in Mamago's). The voice acting is fantastic, the dialogue is tight, the music is nice. Presentation wise, it's perfect. I just wish there was a little more variety in the gameplay.

It was quite short and sweet and the stealth part was a bit annoying for some (so I hear), but otherwise I still consider it one of the best games this gen.

Yeah, I absolutely deplored the stealth parts. They blew big time.

And I am a fan of stealth action games.

The last half-hour of this game is absolutely fantastic. Chase scenes and boss battles one after the other. I definitely cooled on it in the middle, but in the end, it was totally worthwhile, and one of my favorite games of this generation.
