There's still a lot of people that can't let go of that SNL performance. I hear about it when I mention her name. "Oh that girl that was horrible on SNL?" Who knew that show was a kingmaker. But yeah she's still come a long way in a short period of time. I think she should have picked up some Grammy noms, but the US music industry seems to have a stick up it's butt where she's concerned.

Maybe I'm off here, but that seems like the first taste the general public got of her, I know I had no idea who she was until I saw yahoo front page headlines about her doing bad on SNL. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

I get the feeling Lana del Rey is designed for people who don't want to be challenged by music but want to pretend that they are.

No one has ever pretended that Lana is challenging.

Or so I dearly, dearly hope.

I also hope no one is pretending that music needs to be challenging to be good.

Also popjustice doesn't know shit ;)

Screw all of you and your manufactured responses.

Best of Lana Del Rey:

1. Born to Die
2. National Anthem
3. Summertime Sadness
4. Radio
5. Dark Paradise
6. Blue Jeans
7. Video Games
8. Ride
9. Off to the Races
10. Gods & Monsters
11. Cola
12. This Is What Makes Us Girls
13. Without You
14. Lucky Ones

Extra:
Million Dollar Man
Carmen
Blue Velvet

Her voice is decent, and some songs can be catchy in the right mood, but the lyrics and writing are absolutely atrocious.

or it could just be that people like to listen to music that sounds good to them. That could be fucking it, I don't know why people on the internet or wherever feel the need to shit on the opinions of other people's taste in music.

God knows I don't like Metal music and think it's trash but I don't go into threads with their fans and shit on their opinions. I just don't fucking listen to it and then have the common courtesy to leave them alone.

"Pabst blue ribbon on ice" is the worst lyric to ever be in a song.

(P.S. I secretly like (some of) her music. No one must ever know.)
