The characters face is so mangled it's hard to play. Why do people who make games not want to sell them?
I've said it earlier but the demo sucks, like I played it on PS5 and I was like "okay I understand why this game reviewed poorly, I don't care for this person or her story", and then I played the whole game from the beginning and it was actually pretty great.I tried out the demo on Switch 2. I like the Star Wars environments and sound effects, but maybe I'm just growing out of these types of games. It checked off my itch to play it. Maybe it's that sense of going through the motions pressing buttons prevalent in Ubisoft games. It's not bad, but I need more than the novelty of being in Star Wars world.
One moment the game lost a TON of points for me. I lost the speeder I was riding while fighting two guys on speeders, who left their rides behind. Since I was now on foot, I tried to take one of their speeder bikes and you can't. They just stay there for show. I was like F this game while I started walking the rest of the distance. I don't know why but it kind of broke immersion, guess I'm used to more open-ended games. I was so sure I'd be able to do that, it's worked since GTA! Unrealistic expectations maybe.
It's hard to play? Really? You stare at her back for like 85% of the time.
Come on now. She's clunky, and pretend to be cool to not get killed, far from being a girlboss. But it's super woke and girlboss.
At this point, why not just update the model. Not like it could hurt sales. Maybe they could actually sell some copies. Sure they could do this very easily. Is there a mod to fix her busted face or did they get deleted? I was considering getting this when cheap, and modding.
Yes, I REALLY wanted one of those imperial speeders! Her's looks like a Pug in comparison.I tried out the demo on Switch 2. I took a stab at it for $20. It's okay, it definitely nails the SW vibe and look. The protagonist is pretty vapid and annoying, and knocking out Stormtroopers by punching them in the freakin helmet will never not be funny.
I'm having a decent time with it. The bones for what could've been a really great smuggling game are there, they just fleshed it out in all the wrong ways.
Should've have definitely had a character creator and more Privateer stuff. Maybe actual smuggling and whatnot opens up later on, I'm still on the first planet.
The map is hopeless.
If you already have a poor reputation with one or more of the factions, going into their area and gunning a few down doesn't make it worse?
Are you supposed to do everything in the one region before moving on?
Expert missions (quests?) I take it you are supposed to come back later when you are powered up?
Sorry for all the questions.
