Agreed. Sure way to turnoff fans of the series. Oh well, hopefully it doesn't suck as much as it seems like it will. I do enjoy the MG games. PEACE.Tritroid said:I still don't understand why they chose to go with cards..

Unison said:Hahahaha, MGS for the GBC is the #2 game ever on Gamerankings.
Shut up, Kojima!
Unison said:Okay, then I blame the analog nub.
Hajaz said:apperantly the fact that its turn based has to do with the psp's battery life.
a proper mgs title requires constant streaming from the diskdrive, witch would drain the battery alot faster then the current turn based setup.
That's not true. MGS games don't stream constantly, except for the voices in codec scenes and cutscenes - they could simply go with no voices, and be done with it. ACID doesn't have any voices during codec either.a proper mgs title requires constant streaming from the diskdrive, witch would drain the battery alot faster then the current turn based setup.

Wario64 said:ANALOG BUTTONS, not analog stick. MGS1 didn't have a first person mode, so analog buttons wasn't needed.
bobbyconover said:Have you ever actually given any card battle games a fair shot? I'm turned off by real life Magic-card nerds and their whole scene too, but I've found that most of the video game card-battle games that I've played have been great addictive fun.
drohne said:i have little interest in a card game, but i don't think a proper mgs would be appropriate for the psp either. the gbc was far enough removed from the psx that its metal gear could be a different, valid thing. a psp metal gear would just be a bowdlerized version of the console games, with compromised graphics and controls. and is a portable appropriate for games with lengthy cutscenes and codec conversations? particularly a portable without much battery life to spare?

FortNinety said:Yes. More than I care to really list. I just don't like card games. I find most of them arbitrary, too difficult, slow and exceptionally boring.
Granted, I also dislike RPGs, and I suck at/find boring traditional card games like Poker, so that might explain a few things as well.
