Oh I would have loved to be one of the workers there the day before. I mean you are there and you know this amazing cluster fuck is going down tomorrow and you will be able to witness it all.
And food. I still remember a huge imgur album from a guy who attended the concert. People in trailer houses sold hamburgers, fried sausages or whatever for low cost. Call me a weirdo, but reading "if you're hungry and it's late just knock, we'll be happy to cook for you!" was really cute.Yeah. The juggalos have been gathering without logistical issues for a while. They might stab each other once in a while but at least there's beer and Faygo
Indeed. Read it on my way to work and I was laughing already.Thread title is hilarious
No Ja, it is your fault. You helped put this together so it's your fault.
LoL. What are those lamps supposed to be hanging from?
In reading this thread I suddenly realized "you know, I bet my cousin went to this thing, I should probably call home and find out." She's an Instagram influencer who happens to be half-Bahamian, so it only makes logical sense that she would be there (probably on someone else's dime).
Called home and YUP. Not only was she there but her brother was too. smh
I'm not really understanding the logic behind "Fuck all these people that got scammed, I hope they don't get anything back, this is funny to watch them be in this dangerous situation."
While the shitshow itself is funny, I don't really think it's funny that the people got scammed. This certainly looks like it seemed legit at some point, obviously not the case once they got there. I agree the ticket prices are absurd, but I don't think that's a reason to say "fuck these people, they deserve to lose the $12,000 they paid."
People dropping potentially thousands of dollars on a faux luxury music festival that was promoted by craven social media stars and that turned out not to exist is incredibly funny to me.
That is of course assuming no one is actually harmed.

Does no one bother to proof these type of statements???
I love that "ITS NOT MY FAULT" ... "but I take full responsibility". lol
While it's nice that he cares about the locals, shouldn't he be focusing on getting the people at the concert home.Ja Rule's response so far. He will release a "statement" later:

How can you say you're taking responsibility but also say it isn't your fault?
How did they let it get to the point where they had people flown out there when it was clear nothing was prepared? What a joke.
Not all the tickets were 12k. Some where significantly heaper. So not everyone who attended was wealthy. The "haha fuck the rich" bullshit in this thread is idiotic.
The situation also sounds dangerous and like it has the potential to result in violence. I don't see anything funny or amusing about it.
That's what I wonder in this kind of situation. The organizers already knew that there was no stage, no lodgings, no alcohol, no food, no activities. They could have pulled the plug on all of this before any planes were in the air. The fact that they didn't, implies that someone was actually holding out hope that this would be good enough. Which is just too crazy to think about.
It sounds like the vast majority of the tickets that were actually sold were the $500 ones.
Could always be worse... #fyrefestival
Holy shit. Please tell us more
